I had the gastric bypass surgery in March, but I will still be pooh sized when we go in September. (Currently a 22 pant 14/16 shirt) :thumbsup2

Is there any rides that I shouldn't even try to go on? I do NOT want to be kicked off a ride. :sad1:

Thanks for ANY help. I am kind of freaking out about this even though I was larger than I am currently when we went to WDW and I had no problems. :confused3

Try this link. No offense intended by the title :) It is my understanding that most all of the rides are intended for all shapes and sizes. Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and Autopia are the ones I could envision problems with, but I think those would pertain more to height than they would to weight. Good luck and have a great trip! :)

I am much larger than you and I have no problems on most rides.

Space is hard stepping out of, as is Autopia. No issues at all with BTMRR.

I do not even try to get on Gadget's Coaster (In Toon Town) or the kids roller coaster (the name escapes me now) in DCA.

Screaming is not really an issue, though I tend to suck in every time I pull the belt down.

One of my most embarassing moments was on Star Tours. Now, the belt fits me ok (again, I'm quite larger than you are), but, for whatever reason this day I couldn't get it to latch. I was there by myself with my kiddos. They made me get up and move to another seat, my DD was so nervous. Anyways, I'm very aware of my size each and every time I get on any ride!

Have fun. I'm sure you won't have any problems at all.

I'm a size 20/22 and I have never had a problem on any ride @ DLR... I have ridden everything except Maliboomer(which is a personal choice not size related) Go for it most CM's are friendly and very tactful.. enjoy your trip!!
We leave tomorrow for my birthday trip and I am soooooo excited!!!!!!!!!

I am currently in a size 24 pants and 22/24 Shirt and have only had a problem with the orange zinger..(my hips just wouldnt fit) and the Maliboomer is quite a squeeze because I have a very large chest and even then I can still ride it it just is a tight squeeze...however there are some seats on it that have a longer strap. The CMs are very nice and try not to draw attention to any problems a person might have. By the way good luck on your weightloss journey. I am currently on one of my own.

Thank you guys SO MUCH!

I am always comparing myself against others who are in line or exiting the ride to see if there is a similar sized person. It gets to be really stressful and makes the ride-line wait seem like 4 times as long.

I recommend sitting in the second or third seat on the Pooh ride, b/c the first seat is more of a squeeze. Same recommendation for people with hip/knee problems, regardless of size.

I don't think you'll have problems on anything at your size...just maybe awkwardness, but I tell ya, most people are awkward while getting out of Astro Orbiter and things like that.

Another hint! For the rides with seatbelts, pull the seatbelt out ALL the way, BEFORE sitting down. Stand, lean over and pull the belt up, hold it out, sit down, and then clip in. SO much easier than doing it once you're sitting down. It also give you the opportunity to feel for the clip-in side so you know where it is as you're sitting, so you're not working "blind" trying to feel for the clip.

I am a curvy kinda girl, :) and I have never had a problem getting in and out of rides.

Thanks again everyone for your help.

We just got back and I fit on every single ride I went on! (The only rides I didn't go on were Maliboomer @ Tower of Terror. Chicken husband. :lmao:)

If anyone has any specific ?'s about a certain ride, feel free to ask as it is all fresh in my mind.

Have a great day!!!:wizard:

Just read your post...so happy for you that you had a wonderful time!!:wizard:
