A group of 6 of us is coming to Disney next month, hurray!

Four adults who love thrill rides, plus two littles (ages 3 and 1).

I've never used Rider Switch before but thinking about trying it this time. Thinking about combining it with our FP+ but not sure what the best way to go about that is.

I'm thinking about changing our Fast Passes so half of us have FP to ToT and the other half RnR. Then we can use Rider Switch, correct? Right now I have all of our FP going to ToT and figured we would take turns but I think using FP for both RnR and ToT makes sense, right?

Same with Soarin and Test Track. Right now I have all of us booked for Soarin. Thinking about switching half of the adults to Test Track and doing Rider Switch.

Is this a good idea or am I over complicating things?!?

Yes. Only the first riders need FPs and then any 3 riders ride on the Swap via the FP line.

Moving you to the FP subforum - there are a lot of Swap threads there - where you can Search.

Thank you! Anyone with experience doing it this way??

There are lots of threads in this Forum.

Splitting the FPs doubles up your height-restricted rides.

Ok so let me just work through this... bear with me ;)

Ok, so we'll just talk about the four adults. I'll book 2 FP for RnR at 11:00, and 2 FP for ToT at 11:45 (just an example). We'll all go to RnR, two will stay behind with the kids while the ones with FP ride, then switch. Then we can head to ToT and do the same thing, right??

Perfect! :) It's the major perk of the Rider Switch and FP combo.

Keep in mind that RnR is tier 1 so if you book that, you will not be able to book a FP for another tier 1 (like TSM) for those individuals.

We just came back, and the Rider switch passes we were given had more flexibility for the return times than FP+'s. In fact they were good anytime until 11/30. So you do not need to use your rider switch passes immediately. You can save them for a later time on the same day, or possibly even another park day, if that fits your plans.
