Ridemax and WoC

Does anyone know if Ridemax appears to be taking into account that there will most likely be very large crowds at the park on June 11th for WoC? I'm not asking for actual data of course, but just a general idea.

I would certainly not expect the program to be able to plan for soft opening crowds, but Disney has announced that WoC will premiere on June 11th. I am thinking about getting Ridemax (probably to make a spreadsheet for my party), but I realized that if it projects low waits kind of like we saw during my off-season December trip, then I don't see how it could be worth the expense or the time. (I know I could just try plugging in a day Ridemax would consider to be a busy day if June 11th's predictions aren't right...but then that seems to start to defeat the purpose of buying a program, versus just knowing general crowd patterns.)

Thanks!

I don't know, but I've e-mailed the owner/creator a few times and have gotten very quick answers. I also know he uses emails from Dis'ers to help keep him up-to-date on changes at DLR (such as the closure of the walkway between TOT and Bug's Land).

I doubt it. DLR does not even have WOC on their schedule yet. I suspect all DCA plans in June are in flux. Even if RM does have plans, those would not be that good yet. What kind of data can they use for rides if WOC is pulling people in and some rides are staying open late while others are closing early? In such cases RM usually makes very conservative assumptions - they have no other choice - and then updates based on experience. I suspect RM people will be at DLR June 11 and then make adjustments to DCA right away. Anything you run for DCA after June 11 will need to be re-run anyways after June 11.

I'll be in the parks from June 9th - the morning of June 13th, so I won't have access to a printer after June 8th. (Never mind not wanting to spend a few hours after a crowded night at the parks June 11th to try to compose a spreadsheet for Saturday! :) )

I'm not terribly concerned about the morning of June 13th, but I do want to know how to plan on June 11th and 12th, and waiting until the official premiere won't really do my party any good. (Unless they update immediately after WoC on June 11th and I could get up early on June 12th, make a plan, and handwrite it, but that doesn't sound likely. And getting up early enough to make the gates at park opening is early enough for me! :rotfl: )

Soft openings will affect crowd flow somewhat so MAYBE they will pull some data from that when those occur?

Though they were a touch curt with me the last time I wrote them (not apologizing for the error in their software but just saying yes, they will fix it in the next few days), I went ahead and emailed them.

They replied that on Monday or Tuesday, they will bump up some of the wait time estimates for the weekend of 6/11. It sounded like they meant maybe just for some rides in DCA.

But it sounds like they're making some guesses already. Not sure I atually agree with their guesses but since no one knows, I'm glad they're at least doing something. :)
