Ride Question

Hi all,

I know this may sound like a silly question and I'll probably answer it myself as I write.

We are taking our (will be) 13 month old twins in October and it didn't occur to me how we would be taking them on the rides. Obviously , we won't be taking them on any of the large rides with height requirements, but what about Pirates, Haunted Mansion??? Any past experience with children this small???

I'm not really sure what your question is.... but we took our youngest on Pirates- she didn't like it much though. The way we handled it was any ride she COULDN'T ride or we thought would scare her or she wouldn't enjoy- we did the parent swap and she didn't ride them. That would include Haunted Mansion... no way did I even want to chance taking her on that one (if we could... I can't remember if we could at her size or not?).
Even Snow White scared her. LOL

I went back and read my post...derrr... My twins are teething and it's obvious I'm sleep deprived. thanks for responding.

I read a post on the attraction board which answered my question. I guess I wasn't sure if it would be safe to take small children on Pirates - and the Haunted Mansion can be scary, but my children probably won't "get it" at 13 months.

I'm so looking forward to our trip. Prior to reading the posts on this board, I never would have booked a trip with such small children, but it's obvious that it can be done and families have a wonderful time.

OH yes it can be done and still have a good time. You don't have to miss ANYTHING (yourself or older children also- for those that have them) even if you have young children- because of the parent swap.
You're right though- 13mo probably wouldn't be as scared (or notice at all!) as barely turned 2yrs old. Big difference there on the "scared" factor.

hi,

I noticed you are doing the Atkins Diet and doing tremendously well. As you might imagine being pregnant with twins (and dipping into the Krispy Kreme Donuts during that time), I have a little more weight to take off. I want to be thin before my trip!

I'm almost down to my goal weight, but it's taken several months on Weight Watchers and it's getting old real fast. Are you finding it difficult to eat only protein????? I know the results are unbelievable in the first few weeks... I have another 20 lbs to go...
