Ride crush & gusher at TL with watershoes on?

Do they measure you for the 48" with watershoes on and can they wear them on the ride? I won't let my 48" kid ride any of the individual slides that seem scary even though he makes the cut but I think the 47" kid will miss out if he can't ride this one. He'd be 48" with crocs. I feel pretty safe about him riding with me. Do they have a lower requirement on height if riding with an adult or more likely to let the 47" kid on? (I've seen other water parks with 48" restriction to ride alone but maybe on 42" if with a parent.) Just curious, have never been to BB or TL. Thanks.

I wore my crocs last year on this--I don't know abouthte measuring of hte children with/without them though.
