Hi everyone,

We want to go to DLP on 13th October for 4 nights but the published refurb schedule only goes as far as August. Does anybody know when they are likely to announce the next schedule? I want to book ASAP, as we are very much tied to our dates and don't want the hotel to be fully booked - but I'd also hate to get there and find out that our favourite rides are closed!

Many thanks!

Thanks very much, Torsie, much appreciated! How often are rides usually refurbed, does anybody know? I wonder if the fact that the rides I like won't have been refurbed for at least 5 months beforehand means they're likely to be done then...

Hiya

We're going on the 12th and were also tied to those dates so have gone ahead and booked the other week.

I remember looking at refurbs last July and the ones for Oct were up then. There was only one ride closed and not a big one so we were lucky.

You could hold out for a few more weeks and wait and see if the list is updated. We had no trouble booking our hotel in July. It's low season which helps.

If your dates are set in concrete though you may as well book for peace of mind. If our fave big rides are closed we'll all meet up and have a group cry :rotfl:

I'd imagine October won't have too many closures, and not in frontierland (if PM or BTM are your favourites, as that's the most important land during halloween!)

I booked it! I am so excited - I got halfway through reading out my credit card number to the agent when I thought about telling my daughter we were going and I got so choked up that I couldn't read out the rest of the numbers!:) I will now be checking the closure schedule in a panic every day!

We're on the verge of booking to go away at the end of July.

We wanted to take a look at the closures to make sure that we're not too affected by major ride closures, but DLRP Magic seems to have closed their calendar section and as far as I can see, the official DLP website doesn't specify how far their closure information goes up to (the latest closure listed is 24th June).

Does anybody know either whether there are any closures planned between 26th - 30th July or of another website listing the closures so we can check for ourselves?

Thanks :)

Sorry I dont know of any other websites but I think its unlikely there will be any scheduled closures in July. We are going 21st - 25th and didnt notice any listed last time I looked

I think they only close things in July and August when they really have to. Back in 2006 they closed BTM in the latter half of August but that was for a major major overhaul which probably couldn't have been done at any other time of year. And it was back in service by October for Halloweenland!! :thumbsup2

Aha! I've found the answer to my own question :goodvibes

edit: Sorry torsie24, didn't see your response there :rotfl:

In case anybody needs a calendar style list of closures to see how far they go up to, then magical kingdoms has a list.

Right! Alice's maze was closed in June 2006 much to our disappointment... We then *had* to go back in Dec the same year :rotfl:
