Has anyone done this at Michigan. My DH and dad are set up to do it next weekend. They say there is a family waiting/veiwing area. I was just curious what was there. I am starting to think about what I need to keep the kids (3 & 6) happy for 4+ hours. I would just leave them with friends but they really want to see thier daddy and papa drive a race car.

I did mine at Loudon and the family area was in the pit area. The Richard Petty folks didn't have anythiing outside of the souvenir trailer. So family members basically hung around pit lane. You could go into Victory Lane (what there is of it :rotfl: ).

It would appear to me that Michigan has a spacious pit area, so if they bring some toys with them, they should be abel to stay occupied and out of harm's way.

We did it in Orlando when my kids were about that age. There was an area set up with bleachers, and there were a couple of other younger kids there too that mine hooked up with. They did cheers for the guys as they went by and really had a lot of fun. They did take the entire family for a lap around the track in a van. The kids enjoyed that too.
