Apologies for any confusion - I'm writing this under my daughter's Username: for some reason it won't allow us to log her out......

Friday May 5th.

Up reasonably early today. We're going to Typhoon Lagoon. :teeth:

We had our standard beakfast and then to Miss Piggy for the drive to Typhoon Lagoon to get us in for the EMH.

One of the good things about having you own car at parks like these is that you can take the bare minimum with you - this, ahem! meant we left the camera behind as well.

Anyway, we arrived at TL in good time - there were only about a dozen cars in the car park. We found ourselves an nice shady spot, Avonia settled down and Victoria and I were straight off to "Crush 'n' Gusher".

Yep!, We liked Crush 'n' Gusher so we went on it again, and again and...... :dance3:
Having tired our legs climbing the steps a number of times, and as the temperature was rising again (peaked in the 90's), we took the easy "float" around the park on Castaway Creek. Now this does take quite a few minutes to do the complete loop so we thought we'd better make our way back to Avonia after this. She was still "shading" it under a tree. Okay, we were happy with that so off Victoria and I went again into the Surf Pool. After a number of minutes being thrown about by the tidal waves I came out to let Avonia have a play. Avonia also enjoyed her "Bibbity, Bobbity, SPLOOSH!".

It was still only 11:00am and boy! was it getting hot - we're all very fair skinned, so we don't do the "lounger, frying up in the sun, skin cancer bit very well!" - so at this time Victoria and I strolled around to the Shark Reef for our snorkling. It's amazing what you can see in there and well worth the visit. Unfortunately for me, something in the water set of a minor reaction with me....my nose would not stop running for the rest of the day - it was as if I was suffering from hay fever :confused3 .

By this time the park was starting to get crowded; too many people queueing up and too many limbs thrashing about in the Surf pool; so we decided to jump in Miss Piggy and back to POFR to freshen up and have a bit of lunch, and to see that we had another "friend" staying with us:

In the afternoon it was time for another little bit of retail therapy, so Miss Piggy took us over to the Florida Mall. There was hell of a lot of traffic on the Sand Lake Road so it took a little longer than expected - unfortunately, this meant that Avonia was able to "clock" stores such as "Michael's" for future reference.

We duly arrived at Florida Mall, where I "allowed" :teeth: Avonia and Victoria to peruse the delights of places like Sears etc., whereas I "escaped" to some of the electrical / camera stores.

Happily reunited a couple of hours later, we jumped into Miss Piggy to take us back to POFQ - she tends to do most of the driving herself, with me just holding the steering wheel to keep it legal.

Tonight we were eating at Spoodles so we drove over to Boardwalk in good time to allow us to explore a bit.

I do like Boardwalk, there always appears to be something going on. When the time came we made our way to Spoodles:

Yes, we over indulged in the food again, over $163 for the three of us. This Disney Dining Plan is great - but you do need to think of the exercise programme for when you get home!

The meal was excellent,

although the restaurant is quite noisy.

We then took the boat to EPCOT for the EMH hours and had another go on Mission Space (another walk on) and then onto Test Track again, using the single rider queue. Again, tired, we caught the boat back to Boardwalk and good old Miss Piggy escorted us back to POFQ for our evening drinks and much needed sleep.

Another great day ~ Excellent piccies as well.

Another great day, I am looking forward to wondering around the Boardwalk in Oct.
