======================================================

Back home, and the balance of our photo's have finally arrived (we thought they'd been lost by the developers!).

We had a great time in Florida from day 1 all the way through to day 15. Big congratulations to British Airways (the first time I've used them for a holiday - and will definately be using them again)

The Port Orleans French Quarter was a wonderful hotel, well placed and just the right size and we didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted to!
But onto a few of those outstanding photos:

CNV00040-1.jpg

Avonia at Coronado Springs.

CNV00038-1.jpg

...not forgetting Victoria at all.

CNV00037.jpg

Tinkerbell at EPCOT

CNV00036.jpg

...and Winnie as well.

CNV00034-1.jpg

Canada

CNV00032-1.jpg

France.

CNV00030.jpg

...and one of those flower sculptures.

CNV00029.jpg

Good old Pluto.

CNV00021.jpg

...and my favourite, Goofy!

CNV00018.jpg

The Mouse!!

CNV00017.jpg

...and the car I want.

CNV00012.jpg

Beauty and the Beast

CNV00010.jpg

...and Beauty and the Beast at the Grand Floridian?

CNV00008.jpg

The final Bye Bye from Baby Bunny. Now there's a picture of EPCOT with no people, taken on a Saturday morning at about 11.00am.

A Few Observations

American drivers are far more aggressive than they were 3 years ago. Where they would join the traffic behind you when coming on at intersections, many now race up the inside of you to cut in front of you. Similarly when they want to leave at an exit. Also, many will now race to get in front of you just to get one extra place up in the car park.

Smokers who seemed to think that designated smoking areas were for others, not them! :furious:

The Cast Members who quickly dealt with the above. :thumbsup2

The Grand Floridian's "attitude". Much better attitude at the Poly, Coronado, Wilderness etc.

The Poly: absolutely brilliant place. Whether the Spirit of Aloha or O'Hanas etc. the attention was formidable.

The Disney Dining Plan: a wonderful (should the emphasis be on "full"? :lmao: ) experience. We ate in places we would never normally be able to afford. We got to see hotels we would never have seen, and the attention from the CMs was perfect.

Riding the front of the monorail - I want to have the job of a monorail driver.

Using the smaller boats from the MK to the hotels in the evenings. I want the "captains'" job as well.

The plan to take it easy and stroll around the parks :rotfl2: ....of course as soon as you get in you end up wanting to do everything.

The single rider queue. :thumbsup2 Now that DD is 13 we would both join this queue and get on many more rides.

Well, as you can see from my ticker, we do not have any more Disney holidays planned  . We've decided no more taking DD out of school and the crowds and price in school holidays make it prohibitive for us. However, when it comes to Disney visiting the "World" is like the words of Rick in Casablanca:

"Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life."

...and of course "A dream is a wish...."

Fantastic Richard, really really enjoyed your reports and what a wonderful ending with all those lovely photos. :thumbsup2

Never say never, I agree,I always said I would never take my dughter out of high school for holidays and I never did, however, just have a look into the last 2 weeks of August, crowds very managable and slightly cheaper than the rest of July and August, this year for the first time ever as my daughter has left school, we are trying October for a change and I cant believe how quick it has come around, it seems like yesterday when she was starting high school. :)

Thank you so much for sharing your holiday with us all :goodvibes

I know what you mean about the American drivers, I was glad to get off the I4. Lovely photos.

Great stuff, I also 'Never day never'! :teeth:

What a lovely ending to your trip reports. Hope you make it back again soon!

Sara. :)

Congrats Richard on wonderful reports, really good reading and lovely piccies too! I feel this is not the last we've heard of you and expect to see a ticker in place soon. Hopefully you'll find a way of overcoming the school holiday pricing obstacle and you'll be winging your way back in the near future.

I could keep my fingers crossed to get those 6 numbers on a Saturday evening........I may need to, with the way work is going at the moment I could be redundant in the next few weeks  :scared1: (anybody want a Programme Office Manager / Project Control Manager / Project Manager?)

I'm pleased you enjoyed the reports - credit has to go to the Disney photographers (photopass) for the majority of the photos. :thumbsup2
