Rhyme or reason to Dining rotations?

We just returned from the 7 night western. My kids are 5 & 2 and we were given the LAP rotation. I tried to change it to APL rotation but was told first dinner seating was full so no changes could be made. In all honesty, we still had a great time at dinner & had great servers so it didn't matter which dining room we were in!

The reason I was asking about dining rotations was to try to decide in advance which night to skip and go to Palo's. Having small children, I'm thinking we will start at AP. If so, what's the second and third night? Thanks. This is the 3nt Wonder.

All dinning rotations go in the same "direction"... Lumieres/Tritons is followed by Animators Palate, Animators Palate is followed by Parrot Cay, and Parrot Cay is followed by Lumieres/Tritons.

So on your 3 nighter IF you start in Animators Palate your rotation will be Animators - Parrot Cay - Tritons.

The exception to this is the 4 nighters. Before Pirates night was started the rotation for the 4th night kept you in the same restaurant as the third night (at least way back in 1999 it did). Now, since Pirates night you "do" the first restaurant on the first two nights. BUT I think that someone posted reciently that DCL went back to the old rotation (but that doesn't make any sense to me).

Do you think Triton's would be the least desirable for young children, thus the best to skip and head to Palo?

We were on the Magic in January and got the LAP rotation. It was me, DH, DD12, DD3 and my parents. I was surprised that we didn't get either of the other 2 rotations. We had a great time in every dining room. Our servers Ronald and Jira made our vacation. It was the highlight of our week.
