Hi everyone,

looking for some advice -- my little sister is 8 and loves all the jeans with rhinestones...but i think i could make a nicer pair than they sell. do you have any advice on what kind of glue to use to make the rhinestones stick the best?

Don't glue it, use a setter of some sort. They will hold much better.

A setter is a tool you can get at most fabric and craft stores, such as Joanne's. The style I prefer looks basically like a pair of pliers but the clamping end is outfitted with different types of holders. You put the grommet through the fabric with the back (wrong side) against one side of the setter, put the stone between the prongs of the grommet, and then with the rubber capped side coming down against the stone squeeze the handles. This crimps the prongs around the stone and holds it. You don't have to worry about the glue letting loose when the jeans are washed. There are other styles as well. Check it out at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, whatever you have in your area.

Thanks a lot! We have a Michael's right down the street, so I'll definately go check it out this weekend :cool1:
