Reynmagsmom's Family Does DLR for Mom's 40th Birthday!!!!(It's all about mom)PTR

Ok... I have never done one of these so please be kind!!!!
We are 1 month, 1 week and 6 days from My Happiest Place on Earth!!!
Where better to spend a 40th??!! If there is such a place I have no idea where it might be!!!
Cast:
Me Christina 39 going on 25

My Wonderful Hubby Jose 38(Not a Disney Fan but goes with me because I love Disney)

My daughter Maggie 17(brat1 from here on & huge Disney fan like her mommy)

My Niece Mary 16 (brat2 from now on)

Maggie's BFF Ashley 18(brat3 from now on)A little Background on Ash she had open heart surgery as a child and they almost lost her and I thank God everyday that they didn't because she has been very good for Maggie. She is a big part of our family now as it is she tell's everyone she has 2 mom's and I'm pretty sure she spends more time here than at home

Our nephew Levi 7(Alphabrat) This will be his 2nd trip with us to DLR 1rst was 3 years ago when he was 4 OMG there's a reason he hasn't been back till now!!!!!( we're hoping this time around is much better)

This was my idea which hubby wholeheartedly agreed too(Sucker)
He had asked me a couple months ago, "What do you want for your birthday"?
Well I looked at him and declared almost instantaneously "Disneyland"!!!!!
So started the planning
Dates:
August 5th to August 8th
My 40th is on 8/06 and it has already been decreed as "MY DAY" to do whatever the heck I want with no interference from anyone!!!
But I told them they could have SOME input on the other days we're there!!!!
We are staying at HoJo's, I'm very excited to see the upgrade to the Pirate's Cove area!!!
So far I have PS's for Minnie & Friends, Carnation Cafe, BB, and Cafe Orleans.
Minnie's and BB will be my Birthday treats!!!

So for my daughter's 17th birthday we did a twilight theme(here's her cake)

And her Birthday present

Yep, A car( my hubby is not the sharpest tool in the shed!!)
So I think the DL bug was planted when spoiled brat1 got her car
our last trip to the land was April 08 for her 16th and my son Reyhmond's
17th, we went with Grandma(my mom) as hubby had to go see his folks in Mexico( he only gets there every 3 or 4 years)
Here's Rey ( he isn't going with us this time, his choice he would rather spend the time with Grandma & Grandpa)

Rey is Autistic, Deaf, has Cerebral Palsy, and he is 18 but he is only about 48 months old developmently.
So in a nutshell thats our plans so far,
I hope you enjoyed at least some of this PTR.. being a newbie at it I'm sure I can only improve!!!

Have you checked out the disAbilities section on here? Maybe it would make taking Rey to the parks easier for you. They have lots of great info.

Thanks!!! We have taken Rey many times, the last trip was April 08 and he decided he was done with Disneyland....(I know I can't believe it either) so his idea of a great vacation is spending the time with Grandma & Grandpa, they will spoil him rotten!!!
Disney has always been great to us with a special needs child, his first trip was when he was 7 or 8 and then every year after that and he is 18 now so I guess 10 trips was enough for him( but never for me LOL )
I'll be sure to check out your report!!!
