I love reward programs and sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time and other times I feel overwhelmed because there's so much to keep track of but I keep doing them because I've realize I get some great deals because of them.
Just this week I've:
Used my discover cashback and redeemed $20 in rewards to get a $25 GC to American Eagle. I then got a 15% off coupon e-mailed to me yesterday and with the grand opening sale prices they have at the store they just opened in town I got a $60 pair of jeans for 46 cents!
At Bob's I used my $10 reward to get a Celtics baseball hat for $0.
I just got a $10 reward from Old Navy I've yet to spend but I'm hoping they'll have a $10 sale for some kind of kids clothes soon.
Oh, last night at Godiva I got a free Truffle.
I absolutely love this one - you don't ever have to buy anything at the store, just get the free card and once a month you can get a free piece of chocolate - anything but the dipped fruit and certain select premium chocolates.
and a couple of weeks ago at Staples - with my $6 in rewards for recycling my toner cartridges I got a heavy duty three hole punch and a diet coke so my OOP $.50 for the two.
On the other hand for TRU, I've had the card for 2 or 3 years and I use it every time I go and while admittedly I don't go there very often I know I've spent over $500 but I've YET to get any kind of benefit from it.
