rewards for in-store pickup

If I buy online through a reward program and choose in-store pick up (for free shipping ) will I still be awarded the points for the order - need new computer - would be quite a few points!

I have purchased a digital camcorder through my points from bestbuy online and picked it up in the store and recieved points from mypoints.

and always received my points. It is WAY faster to pick it up, then wait for them to deliver.

I am sure alot of the stores are the same way. Just read the information carefully!
