Revising Avis rental car reservation day of rental

I had to make a quick rental car reservation late last night. We were originally flying in and arriving at 6 PM. We now got an earlier flight, and we are getting in at 4.

How do I switch the time this late in the game?

I probably wouldn't. I'd just show up and say I caught an earlier flight.

Also keep in mind, if your return time doesn't change, you're now keeping the car for longer, and that can affect your final total.

Yeah, I know. I said 24 hours (we are dropping it off in Miami…our flight to Miami got canceled). But we are embarking on a cruise tomorrow. By 6 PM tomorrow, we will be in the of the ocean.

However, our flight got delayed, and we won’t even get ti Sanford before 6 PM
