August 27th: Hoop De Doo
August 28th: Crystal Palace (breakfast), 1900 Park Fare (Dinner)
August 29th: 50's Primetime Cafe
August 30th: Beaches & Cream oop
August 31st: Le Cellier
September 1st: Off Property
September 2nd: Chef Mickey's

How does this list sound?? I was questioning Hoop De Doo, but I think my family might enjoy it. We've never done it before:)

I'd be sure you understand what you're getting (or not getting) wrt to Beaches and Cream. It's a neat place to eat, but it isn't that great, IMHO.

Beyond that, I think, even with lots of children, that's one or two character meals too many. We typically do two character meals when we have the kids with us, and I feel that that has been perfect each time. YMMV, of course.

If you're only doing one meal at Epcot, I'd aim for something better, like Chefs de France or even Marrakesh.

I hope that helps!

Oh, we've been to Beaches and Cream before, we liked it. As for the character dinners, crystal palace and 1900 park fare were done previously and we really liked and Chef Mickey's, we have not done...which is the main place my kids would like to go.
Le Cellier is for our anniversary (husband picked out that one...he's a steak man). I guess the only thing I'm questioning is 50's primetime...I don't like mama melroses and was not too impressed with Hollywood & Vine. The Brown Derby sounds nice, but then I would have to cut out another meal or take out Hoop de doo in exchange. Which I think the family would like  I'm starting to confuse myself, lol.

Prime Time is a great choice as D-MGM, especially with children. It's lots of fun, and the food is very yummy.

Okay, I've been away from the boards for a little while. I get that ADR is the former PS, but I don't know what it stands for and it's driving me crazy. Could somebody please enlighten me.

May I ask how you choose which night you would eat at which restaurant? Did you go by park schedules? EMH's? Just curious as I am having a bit of a tough time doing this for our trip and the time we can call for ADR's will be here before we know it! :teeth:
I think your choices are great! We have also choosen Chef Mickeys, Le Cellier and Crystal Palace.

I am avoiding emh at all costs, for example if MK has emh in the evening, a lot of the resort guests will be staying up late, so it shouldn't be that busy the next morning:)
I know about calling about adrs coming right up. I'm pretty sure we are good, but you never know, we'll probably change our mind, lol.
