DS, 2 ½, 1st trip to WDW

All three adults were on the dining plan
Day 3, Dec 18
Breakfast, In room
We just ate muffins in the room for breakfast this morning.
Lunch, Electric Umbrella, Epcot
We were still in Future World as lunch approached, and didnt really know where in WS we would want to eat lunch, so we just decided to go to the Electric Umbrella. Lines werent too bad here, but we were eating a bit early, probably around 11 or 11:30am. I had the oven baked-roast beef with provolone without the mayo. The sandwich was very good and very filling. I was pleasantly surprised. The small toppings bar was also a surprise. I added lettuce, pickles, and BBQ sauce to my sandwich. Yum! DH also got the roast beef sandwich, but kept the mayo. They put A LOT of mayo on there, so if you only want a little be sure to tell them that or ask for it on the side. We both got fries instead of coleslaw with no problem. My mom had a burger and also enjoyed the toppings bar. We noticed that the only burgers here were double burgers. We shared our meals with DS, who was mainly interested in French fries the entire trip! DH and I had the strawberry cheesecake for dessert, which was pretty good considering it was from a counter service place. The strawberry sauce actually had pieces of real strawberries in it, which I wasnt expecting. My mom had the no-sugar added brownie, which she said was good. It was nice sitting outside, watching the fountain dance during our lunch. Im a huge fan of that fountain I could watch it all day, so being able to eat lunch and enjoy the fountain at the same time was great!
Dinner, San Angel In, Epcot (Mexico)
Tonight was a Girls night out for me and my mom (DH and DS did boys night out at the ESPN Zone). I surprised her with dinner and then the Candlelight Processional which I knew DS wouldnt be able to sit through. This was my third time at San Angel. We didnt have to wait long at all for our table. There were three or four people ahead of us trying to get in, but I heard the hostess tell them all that they were all booked up this was at 5:30pm. Ive enjoyed both of my previous meals at San Angel and this one did not disappoint! The chips and salsa we were given at first were delicious, especially the chips! They were SO good! It was so hard to stop eating them! For an appetizer, I had the tortilla soup and my mom had the salad (these were our only options with the candlelight processional package). The tortilla soup was very good and my mom enjoyed her salad. For my entrée, I got the Plato Mexicano. Very good and very filling. I couldnt finish it! My mom had the shrimp pasta dish. When I think Mexico, I dont think of pasta, but my mom is a pasta lover and this dish did not disappoint. She really enjoyed it. For dessert, we both had the bread pudding, which was very good. I know that San Angel often gets mixed reviews here, but Ive always enjoyed my meal at San Angel. My only complaint is that the tables are so close together.
