Reviews or typical offerings of Beach Club - Club level

Staying club level at Beach Club soon and wanted to some reviews of club level. Thanks.:thumbsup2

Well you won't like my review . I much prefer yc cl. Lounge is tight at bc. I didn't think the flow of the food drink station worked well. Mt biggest complaint is the layout of the garden view rooms. I think there are 7 of these. At least 4 connect and u can definitely here noise . There is also a handicap room in here with horrible water pressure and the sink in the main bathroom. Staff is super nice though. If u are water view or standard view on club your ability to switch rooms is easier

Thank you so much. I welcome all reviews, good, bad and ugly!! I'm still in a good window where I can change resorts if need be, so I want ALL reviews!:)

I have stayed at most CLs at WDW and BC is my least favorite of all of them.

We LOVE BC CL!

We've stayed BC CL, YC CL, and GF RPC and BC is our favorite!

Yes the lounge is a little small but we are early risers so we never had a problem getting a table. Lots of times though I would fix a few platters and bring them back to the room - helps to get the kids out of bed.

The CL CMs are fabulous! BC CL is our first pick.

In addition to my review above I should add this is my FIRST Summer in 5 straight years of a June visit we are NOT staying CLub. I was disappointed in it last summer at BC. To be fair to BC, the food offerings were smaller and less variety, but I would have found this at YC as well since they share the same dining options. It is nice to have breakfast right there before you go to the park but the dinner offerings were skimpier than prior years and desserts REALLY were lacking compared to previous years.

My DH and DD are huge CL fans and when I told them I decided NOT to stay CL this summer and do more signature dining, both were completely fine with it. I really think I was going to have a fight on my hands but both agreed after last summer it wasn't worth it anymore due to changes/cut backs. etc.

we stayed bc cl and really loved it. :thumbsup2 i found the food offerings really good and the staff wonderful! the rooms were very pretty and it was so nice walking to epcot. bc is one of our favorite resorts!

Here is the post about club level at the Yacht & Beach club from the FAQ thread. There are some pictures of the offerings, information, as well as links to other relevant threads and a couple of reviews/observations.

Hope this is helpful to you!

I stayed in a garden view club level room at the BC last December and loved it :thumbsup2

I'd previously stayed club level at the YC (although many years ago), BWI (my absolute favourite) and the GF RPC.

Although I did find the lounge very small for the number of people using it, I just used to get what I want and take it back to my room - my room was just past the lounge and CM desks, overlooking the rear entrance. The lounge was the one thing I wasn't keen on, I like to relax in the lounge and personally felt it wasn't really a lounge to 'relax' in, but that is my only negative, and even then it wasn't so much of a negative to influence my decision of staying/not staying there.

I loved the 'feel' of the CL generally, the CMs were fabulous and I really did feel at home - I was a solo traveller and sometimes it's difficult to feel really comfortable but at the BC I did.

My room had an adjoining door and whilst I did hear noise from my neighbours, it wasn't too bad - I put a rolled up towel along the bottom of the door (I'd read that tip somewhere) and it did help muffle the noise somewhat. I'm a pretty light sleeper anyway but I didn't find the noise too much different from a non adjoining door room.

Where my room was located it very little passing foot traffic, also I understand the garden view rooms don't have day beds (mine didn't) and (so I was told) they aren't very popular with families, i.e. it appears most families require a day bed and therefore book the standard view rooms. I'm only going on what a CM told me though.

I would like to know specifically about non carbonated drinks and water.

Do you have to ask for water and what is the size given. I need to take bottled water for my medications and..

Do they have powerade or any other option?

I remember lemonade, glass bottles of water and iced tea.

Also in the frig with the soda I remember boxes of apple juice. Not sure if there is anything else. I would check the BC/YC thread, there are some great pictures of the BC CL lounge.

We are changing resorts mis stay and I heard we can still access the lounge on the last day all day... is this true? I wanted to go over to HS for a few hours and leave our computers with the concierge and pick them up late afternoon when we change resorts. Will this work?

We are booked for the BC CL for the last week in Sept and I am having doubts now. Loving this thread though, as I still have some months to ponder CL vs. 30% at SOG for the month of Sept!!

Yes, you will still have access to the lounge for the rest of the day. Your KTTW card will be deactivated as far as entrance into the room, but should still work to get you up to the lounge :).

I have read that if you ask for bottles of water, you can get some plastic ones (I want to say Dasani, but not positive)- guessing regular sized bottles, not the minis.

Like Disneymomx7 said, there are glass bottles of water, ice tea and lemonade.

Yes, you have access to the lounge until midnight of your checkout day. Will the concierge hold onto computers for you? If not, you can leave them with bell services in the lobby and they will lock them up for you.

We had a terrible CL experience at BC and would never book it again. Every CM we encountered, with one wonderful exception, was unprofessional and rude. We stayed in a deluxe CL room which are not on the 5th floor and, therefore, it was easiest for us to remain in the lounge while we snacked but the lounge was tiny and crowded morning and night (not afternoons though). People were letting kids touch the food and return it to the platters and use the sofas as trampolines (this isn't Disney's problem, of course, and I hear other CL lounges have these issues too). Food was underwhelming. To write this makes me sad. We wanted to love CL as much as we love BC generally.

Sorry to ask again, but thanks for the response.

Is the ice tea or lemonade bottled?

I really cant drink anything that is made with the water there. It makes me horribly sick and I have enough meds and side effects to deal with.

Sorry I don't know if its fresh or out of a carton.

The water is in glass bottles - Evian I believe.

In the morning there is orange and cranberry juice.

I would shoot an email to BC IPO and ask if they have powerade and ask the questions about the lemonada and iced tea.

Have a magical trip! BC CL is our very favorite.

I booked it with american airlines on line so I dont know if we will get an e mail from the bc ipo. Should I call them? etc. Dont know what to do.

Here is the Contact Information for IPO at the Yacht and Beach Club:

PH: 407-934-1448
FX: 407-934-1487
Yacht.Beach.Club.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com;

(PLEASE DON'T USE THIS INFORMATION IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CONFIRMED CONCIERGE RESERVATION)

As long as you have a reservation, it is ok to contact them with questions. The ice tea and lemonade are in big glass dispensers and I don't know how they are made. It is possible that if you explain that carbonated drinks and anything made with Orlando water makes you ill, they may be able to provide you with powerade or canned/bottled drinks. Doesn't hurt to ask!
