We did two breakfast buffets last week, 11/25-Wave, 11/27-Boma.
The Wave - They were busy and about 10 minutes behind. Our waiter was very good and attentive. We only picked the Wave because I couldn't get into Chef Mickey's. The buffet was fairly small. They had some nice items and the eggs benedict was good. So were the biscuits and gravy. We were disappointed in the number of deserts and pastries provided. Even after I asked the buffet server to restock them all they provided were some danishes.
Contrasting this to Boma 2 days later was really interesting. Boma's desert/sweets area was almost as big as The Wave's entire buffet. Boma also had made to order omelettes. Boma just had more of everything and everything was better.
the buffet was way overbooked and the line was at least 30 people deep at 10:40am. Our waitress suggested cutting in line between the African and traditional buffet areas. We did and were met with dirty looks and a couple of people told us to get in line. We told them that our waitress told us to treat them as separate lines but it made us very uncomfortable. If they are going to stay this busy they need to do something different with the lines.
Everything at Boma was wonderful and the selection was more than we could ask for. I can see why it was so popular.
Jamba Juice - This juice was good, but a little too sweet when pairing it with Boma's unending selection of deserts. It would have been ok paired with The Wave's paltry offerings.
Zebra Domes -We didn't realized the domes were only available at dinner when we asked our waitress about them. Our waitress was so sweet that she snuck 4 of them out of the kitchen for us to try. We did enjoy them but were not blown away.
