Reviews of Magic Kingdom Wishes Dessert Party

Here is a copy of my review that I posted a while back. I think that the price has increased since we went.

Me, DH & DS (14yrs) attended the dessert party this past Saturday. I'm giving it (2) thumbs up. This event is held at the Tomorowland Terrace Noodle Station in the Magic Kingdom Park. The price is $17.99 for guest ages 10 and over. $9.99 for guests ages 3-9.
We were told to arrive at 9:00 p.m. We arrived around 8:30 and were the 2nd family in line. Since we were toward the front of the line, this allowed us first look and pictures of the buffet. They constantly replenish the desserts, but it is not as pretty as when you first see it.
You are escorted to your reserved table. There was a place card with our name on it and golden castle confetti on the table.
Disney has the most wonderful bakers. Everything was really good. There was a wide variety of drinks. Coffee, hot teas, iced tea, lemonade, juice, water.
When the fireworks started, there was plenty of room at the railing. Everyone had a great view. Tinkerbell flies right overhead. Afterward there is no rush to leave. We sat for a few minutes and let the crowd go by. Also there is a photopass photographer set up near the railing to take pictures with the castle as a backdrop.
To me it was worth it as a special treat. If you wanted to be budget wise, skip an expensive table service meal, have counter service, and splurge on this. I think this would be especially nice if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary.

let me preface this with saying that by the time they announced the new dessert party, it was less than 2 months before our trip, and since i didnt hear about it right away, i was sure i would never get a reservation. i called and called and called, seriously about twice a day, and everytime, they had NOTHING for any of the 5 nights we would be there. I didn't give up though, on the last day we were in the MK i stopped by the podium and asked if there had been any cancellations, and sure enough, 20 minutes before, a family had cancelled! i was beside myself with joy! i called my dad and told him to hurry over with his credit card, and we were set! when we got seated it was the most amazing sight, there was food everywhere! we took turns going up and i was so afraid they would run out of stuff, i just grabbed a bunch, as well as a plate for my 16 month ds. he enjoyed his first chocolate strawberry quite a lot. of course they refilled the desserts, and never stopped, and i must have gained 15 pounds that nigt alone. the creme brulee was divine, and just the diversity and variety wasenough to knock my socks off. the view was amazing, and the photo pass people were very helpful. i have heard it is also a good viewing point for the spectromagic parade, but it was canceled the night we were there, though thankfully wishes went off without a hitch! it was truly one of the best experiences ever at disney, and having that be the first time my son ever saw fireworks was even better! i strongly recommend this event!

We just went last week, if you click on my Nov link there are a ton of pictures
