Hello everyone. My family and I have went ahead and booked cabin #9674 for our Nov 27th 2017 4 night cruise on the dream. I have googled and searched you tube but wasnt able to find anything on the exact room number we have booked. Can anyone tell me if this is a good cabin choice? We will have 2 adults our daughter 19 and our grand daughter 17 months time of travel. I originally booked this room because of the extended verandah and liked the idea of having 2 lounge chairs and 2 chairs on the patio.
Also was told we could watch the fire works from our verandah. I dont know if that is true or not. Thanks all

We have stayed in that room on the Dream and loved it. I prefer aft rooms and the extended verandah was awesome. I'm not sure about watching the fireworks from there though.

You will not be able to see the fireworks from this room in a meaningful manner, if at all. Fireworks are fired off the starboard side behind the aft funnel. To view them from the aft facing rooms, you would need to be all the way at the railing looking up and back towards the front of the ship. Because of the curvature of the ship, it would be tough to fit all 3 adults along it. You also have to contend with a little bit of wind which may change the trajectory of the fireworks.

Does anyone know if the Dream has the same aft vibration issue that Fantasy does? If so, I would think that an important consideration when deciding on an aft stateroom.

Yes, we were on the Dream in April and it does have the same vibration. My son, daughter, and DH didn't notice it, or I should say it didn't wake them up ever but boy I sure did! The vibration pulling into port is something that always woke me up.

While the Dream does have some vibration entering ports, that's pretty standard with all ships. The vibration issue on the Fantasy is much more pronounced, and obvious even while just cruising, not only when entering ports.

Exactly, that's what I've heard more than a few times, and felt it while in the aft areas onboard. I figured since kateandy08096 hasn't cruised yet she may be interested in that info.

Thanks all for the helpful information. I did read about the vibration I have my fingers crossed that it wont really bother us. To be honest my washer has been acting up now for about a month. Sounds like my house is taking off on a run way and shakes our whole house (about 2200 sqft) so Im hopefuly that if the baby can sleep through that we should be ok in the stateroom :)
As far as the breeze my husband runs hot at all times so that may be a good thing. I hoped that we would be able to view the fireworks but if not no biggie
