First let me say the humidity has SHOT up the last day--WOW! Yesterday was not as hot but man oh, man, it was uncomfortable! LUCKILY the crowds have continued to be delightfully light. AK can feel crowded, but we walked onto EVERY ride all day.

Weds we headed to EPCOT for a second day w/ our focus on the "World". The kids did the Kim Possible thing & had a blast.
FRANCE:
DF, DM, DD & I ate at the French bakery for lunch...quiches and ham & cheese sandwiches w/ pastries for dessert--very YUMMY & very French. DD LOVED the desserts...ate her choc croissant and most of my choc. mousse! (skinny little thing is having an issue for the first time EVER in her life...her shorts are too tight!) Dad was in heaven, too...polished off the rest of Mom's napoleon after his cream puff:goodvibes

LE CELLIER:
Wonderful waitress, very good food. This is still a top 1 TS meal. The cheese soup is as wonderful as I remember (tho I find it overpowers the pretzel sticks...they are better w/ just butter) Fillets and NY strips around were a big hit. I had the salmon...I prefer the maple glaze; DD did not want her mushroom risotto--GOOD! LOVE that risotto!!! I still find the dessert selection there to be blah, but they had coconut sorbet--YUM! BUT I could really tell how much more full I was w/ the addition of an appetizer! OH, and DH ordered the sausage/polenta appy OOP--had it last time and it is one of the best appys around. Sweet creamy polenta is a terrific foil for the spicy sausage. Everyone was a fan.

POP CS...
This is a better choice than DHS. DH & I had western omelets for brunch; kids had nachos (pretty good!) and chicken strip for lunch. The requirement that you must get a WHOLE fruit as your breakfas side is WEIRD...but you can get grapes or apple slices as a lunch side. Those who do not speak English well really struggled with this--BUT SO DID THOSE WHO ARE FLUENT IN ENGLISH!! Stupid rule, Disney. BUT it is nice that there are so many "dessert" choices...the crummy chocolate cake/carrot cake choice at too many park offerings has got to go!

JIKO--
OMG, our new #1 fav restaurant!!!!! I have had intentions of trying a different 2 TS restaurant every trip, but we are gonna have to include Jiko on every future trip!
DF & DH had short ribs...really more like pot roast, but delish!
I had halibut...a bit too smoky in flavor, but well cooked; the veggies were fabulous
Mom & older kids had filet w/ mac & cheese--they raved & raved about this dish! Mac & cheese just tasted like the wine sauce but kids had sauce on side...might be a good idea. Mom & I split the filet (and the halibut)--OMG THIS IS THE BEST STEAK WE HAVE HAD--ANYWHERE. (and we are from Nebraska...I hesitate to order steak in most other places as I am nearly always disappointed)
Desserts--FINALLY, a creme brulee worth in WDW! And the lemon curd was terrific (I left the berry mixture that came with it) Dad had coffe ice cream & donuts--loved it. DD had the choc cheesecake...her 2 fav things! DS14 had what he has had EVERY night--vanilla ice cream!

AK:
FLAME TREE BBQ
This was a fav last time, so we hit it again.
Mom & DD--fruit plate (slice each of orange, pineapple, cantaloupe + grapes)
nice, but not filling for long w/o protein; cheese would be a nice
Dad--ribs, OK, he said
DH & DS pork sandwiches--great!
Me--BBQ chicken salad YUM
and KEY LIME PIE all around...DD ate 2!

Boma--
DS9 declared this his #1 fav spot (Jiko #2)--I have not mentioned most of what he has eaten as it was all kidfare, and honestly I don't always remember!
Again, we all loved it...favs were corn & spinach pudding (not much spinach..just a few leaves mixed in); chicken corn chowder; curry shrimp soup; pork loin; sirloin; spicy chicken; salmon; fufu; squash soup (tho for dessert--this really does taste like pumpkin pie!); casava? bar; pineapple upside downn cheesecake; bread pudding--OK, so clearly there was little we DIDN'T like!:laughing:Kids did stick mostly w/ kid fare, but DD is a bit more adventurous.
Our waiter was terrific, then when we were all done (and DH & kids left) we waited...and waited...and waited...took about 15 min. to get check, 15 more to get it back...it was the only glitch in our wait staff all week. It was odd. (table next to us was waiting, too)

I gotta tell you, tho--I am SOOOOOOOOOOO full (how DID we do this w/ appetizers??!!) We still have nearly 20 snack credits to use TODAY (Mickey bars...snacks for home!) And dinner tonight at the Wave...excited, but I am just DONE eating!:scared1:

Sounds great, KKB, I hope you had a great trip!

Did you use a CS credit for lunch in France?
If you did, can you tell me what comes with a CS and if there are adult/child's options?
Thanks!

But as an adult you could get quiche or ham & cheese baguette or croissant plus a dessert choice (mostly pastries, I got choc mousse) plus a drink.

Was just in the world Sept 1-7 and agree with your reviews! We tried the French bistro for lunch one day and loved it.. had the cheese plate, the quiche and a strawberry dessert :)

Also, just had to say that we LOVE Boma and always make a stop for the dinner buffet. I am pretty adventurous when it comes to food so I love all the fun selections there.

We have been meaning to try Flame Tree but haven't made it yet... Will keep it on the To Do List I keep hearing good reviews
