Just back from a great trip. Here are my quick reviews of where we ate:
Table Service:
Cape May Cafe (dinner): everyone really enjoyed this (even my non-seafood eating DS16). I don't know if I'd make a special trip over just for this dinner but if we were staying Yacht/Beach Club again I would eat here.
Ohana (dinner): This is a family favorite. We've eaten here every trip. 4 out of 5 of us think we should remove it from the rotation next time. It wasn't bad at all. We enjoyed it, but it's not a must do for us next time.
Boma (brunch): We had a 12:45 reservation here on Mother's Day. Everyone loved it. This was my favorite meal of the trip. The bread pudding with caramel sauce was the best. Tater tots were amazing (sounds weird to say that, but they were). Everyone would love to eat here again but I'm not sure their regular breakfast hours would work into our plans unless we were staying there.
Yachtsman: Excellent. Our first time dining signature & it didn't disappoint. French onion soup, filet, rib eye, onion rolls...all amazing. The only thing we didn't like was the bone marrow but that's just a personal preference. I'm sure it was delicious if you like that sort of thing.
Via Napoli: Pizza was excellent but service was spotty. Not awful, but not great. Salad was good, very fresh. White pizza & pizza with pepperoni & sausage were excellent. Everyone wants to go back next time.
Counter Service:
Yorkshire County Fish & Chips: very good
Flame Tree: excellent. combo platter, pulled pork sandwich & fries with pulled pork & cheese were all great.
Cosmic Rays: good. Bacon burgers, chicken tenders, chicken club sandwich & fries were all good. Nothing outstanding but a solid choice.
Turkey Leg: I forget where DH got this, but it was in MK & he brought it over to Cosmic Rays & ate it with us. He was happy with it. I tasted it & it was good but I think i'd get sick of it after a few bites.
Beach Club Market Place: breakfast bounty platter & mickey waffles with bacon were all very good. Turkey sandwich & chips was very good. Pepperoni Flatbread was not good. I didn't try it, but DH said it wasn't good & he's not very picky.
Boardwalk Bakery: turkey club, roastbeef & salami sandwich & mozzarella sandwich were all good. We were able to sub drinks for snacks here & got oreo cupcakes & canolli. Cupcakes were still very good 2 days later. The canolli was soggy so went uneaten but looked like it would have been good if eaten fresh.
Backlot Express: chicken fingers & fries. DS16 & DH said they were good.
Snacks:
Plaza Ice Cream: ice cream sundaes & huge ice cream sandwiches using snack credits. Everything was very good.
Karamel Kuche: caramel popcorn, chewy caramel bar & caramel square were all excellent.
L'Artisan des Glaces: candied peanut, chocolate & salted caramel ice cream were all very good.
Large soft pretzels in Germany (not a snack credit): 2 of my boys really enjoyed them
Epcot Flower & Garden:
Smokehouse: burnt end hash - excellent, pulled pork slider (no slaw) - excellent & warm chocolate cake with bourbon carmel sauce - very good
Fleur de Lys: onion tarte & raspberry macaron - both were very good
