This is one of our favorite restaurants! It never disappoints!
We ate here 3 times this trip.
Our first night...Dec. 12th. We got a fireworks table without asking! It was great. We had a Nigiri Sushi Array to start with. It was great. I also had a glass of Ravenswood "Belloni", Russian River Zinfandel - $6.75
My niece had Child's pizza- $7.50
My DS had the Center Cut Beef Filet. It was like butter!!!! $31.50
My DH and I split the Pan-Roasted Cod which they brought out on 2 plates. $25.75
Our second time there was December 20th and we requested the Sushi Bar. What a treat! Yoshi, the Sushi Chef is one of the top 3 Sushi Chef's in the World! She was great and made us a wonderful meal!
I had a glass of Pine Ridge "Crimson Creek", Napa - very good! $15.00
My DH had A glass of Chardonnay called Mer Soleil, Central which was so buttery and good! It was $19.75 a glass!!!!
My DS had the Nigiri Sushi Array-$11.75
My DH and I split the Makunouchi..............Youshi's Inspiration - $32.00
This was a 10 Plus Meal all the way! During our meal we saw the MVMCP Fireworks! Our server told us to take our wine and go out on the observation deck to watch! What a treat to see the special firworks from way up high! When they went off all in a circle...it was a sight to see!
Our 3rd meal we tried to get the Sushi Bar again but it was booked. In fact we called Concierge to make PS for us. We decided to go on the Dec. 28th. So on Dec. 27th in the night at Concierge, they called and CG was booked solid. So we had PS for Narcoossee's so we did not feel bad but on a whim the next morning at breakfast I asked Conciege again to check and they had an opening for 7:30 PM that night! Perfect! It seems our whole trip went like this....eveything that could happen good....did!!!!
Anyway we got there at 7:40 and it was so crowded!!!! There were 2 couples with 5 kids between them. They were well dressed and the kids were 4 and under. They were in strollers and the mom was holding one over her shoulder. They all looked sick. All of a sudden the kid on the mom's shoulder got sick!!!!! I felt so bad for them but I quickly moved away. They gave us a beeper and told us the wait was 40 minutes!!! Yikes!
The bar was full as was the lounge seating so we stood against the wall by the lounge and in 5 minutes our beeper went off!!!! Then to top it off...they led us to a fireworks table! By the time we ordered it was 8 PM. So we made it until the fireworks! 9 PM that night.
That night we decided to have Sushi again! My DS had the Nigiri Sushi Array and my DH and I had the Makunouchi......Youshi's Inspiration.
This time I had glass of Acacia "Becstoffer Las Amigas", Carneros Pinot Noir. It was very good again and $18.50 a glass.
For my wine...I would tell my server what I prefered in a Pinot...Full bodied etc. and they would bring me two to choose from. I somehow always picked the more expensive one? Go Figure!!!!
Another 10 for this place!!!! If you like Sushi...this is the place.
I do have Pictures. Enjoy!
