REVIEW - What you can expect - and what not to expect - when you stay at the Swan

I thought they were the weirdest things on earth the first time I saw them. But up close and inside they are superb. Thank you again, SwanDolphin!

I thought the same thing--that the hotels were just too mod and freaky looking. I prefer the traditional 4 or 5 star feel, aka Grand Floridian, but I must admit the design works at the S/D. It's definitely a deluxe hotel, and the location!!!

Can you buy a length of stay pass at these hotels? We're considering staying over a couple days after our 10 day 2004 cruise, and I'm looking for the option of length of stay so that we can park hop even though we will only be there for 2 days.

Everyone says yes!

I plan to buy my length of stay pass durning our stay at the Swan in just a little over 2 weeks!!!

Can't wait

Now this is getting a bit off topic (sorry!), but... does anyone know if the length of stay passes (UPHs) are put on your S/D room key?

Thanks

UPH/LOS passes are put on the regular looking Disney cards. Yes, you will have two separate cards, a room card and a ticket card. It is not hard at all to keep track of them. Enjoy your stay!

I am a true LOVER of staying at both the Swan and the Dolphin.
We stay there usually 3 times a year and NEVER have had a bad experience there.
I do prefer the Swan v. the Dolphin because of size of the hotel, and my friend Mama T in on the Club Level of the Swan is a jewel !!
I will agree that from the Swan to get 24 hour food at Tubby's is inconvient- however my 16 DS is always more than happy to stroll over to Tubby's to get pizza for all of us and wait in the game room whilr it cooks.
IMHO the Swan and Dolphin cannot be beat for location and staff and we have stayed at Poly and AKL concerige and would give the thumbs up to the S/D for our family of 5.
Hats off to a wonderful Star wood property and we are Platinum SPG members and have stayed at many luxury hotels.

My family loves both the Swan and Dolphin. The Dolphin has lots of energy, and the Swan is great when you need a somewhat calmer feeling.
Plus, since I work for my state government, you can't beat the rates.
The location is terrific, and I've never not felt like I had the Disney Magic!

Can't wait to go again!

I'm sorry you weren't thrilled with the Swan. I returned from an 8-night stay last Monday, and I loved it. I prefer the Swan to the Dolphin, because of the smaller size, bigger beds, 2 bathroom sinks, and first bus stop to and from MK and AK. I got a shake from the Dolphin Fountain twice, but otherwise didn't need to go to the Dolphin. And fewer kids at the Swan is just dandy with me....glad they belong to other people! ;)
