My family and I visited Roscoe's for breakfast on a Friday morning while staying at the Anaheim Hilton for the D23 EXPO. The restaurant was a short walk up Harbor from the hotel. We arrived about 15 minutes before they opened and grabbed a few seats on their patio. Soon, a very nice woman opened the front door, welcomed all of us (there were two other small parties waiting as well), and passed out menus for us to review ahead of time. When opening time arrived, we were all welcomed inside and immediately seated. My wife, daughter and I all ordered a variation on the fried chicken and waffles; my wife and I getting the Scoe's (1/4 fried chicken without the gravy or onions and two waffles), while our daughter ordered the #18 (a fried chicken leg and waffles); my wife also ordered a biscuit on the side. For our drinks, our daughter ordered a Sunset (lemonade and fruit punch), while my wife and I ordered Sunrises (lemonade and orange juice). To be succinct...the meal was sublime! The fried chicken was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The waffles were hot and delicious. My wife said the biscuit was the best she has ever had! And the lemonades were...Wow...just Wow...SO GOOD! We will make an effort to come here again, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner!
