moikturtle said:I've pretty much grown up at Disneyland in CA and currently have an Annual Pass, so suffice to say I definitely love the place. That being said, we went to Disneyland Paris this past April and I absolutely adored it. I think that it was planned out very well, and was done beautifully. The only complaint I had, really, was that it closed FAR too early. I wish I'd had much more time to explore the parks because there was just so much to see. And, okay, I had a really hard time with the Pirates of the Caribbean ride there, but I guess it just makes me appreciate the CA version more.![]()
I know! It was all backward, wasn't it?!?

I think we're all partial to whichever park we visit most often. I'm terribly partial to DLR in California, because I've spent my entire life going there. DLRP was the first Disney park outside of CA I've ever visited. I had a few issues with the place, some due to cultural differences, but nothing that would have ruined the trip for me. I did enough research on the parks and hotels prior to my visit, that I knew what to expect. I knew there'd be no air conditioning at Santa Fe, but there would be a ceiling fan. It did the trick just fine. It's not as hot in Europe as it is in CA (especially right now!), so you don't need A/C. Overall, I enjoyed the parks, despite the differences. I'd like to go back some time and just relax and enjoy the rides and such like I would do here in CA, instead of spending all my time running around trying to see and photograph everything!
I will say that I felt some of the CMs needed some extra Disney training. When I'm standing there, waiting for an item I've purchased, but the CM is too busy talking with his co-workers to get it packaged up for me, I don't think that's particularly magical. But, that can happen at any Disney park!
