Just got back from our Spring Break in Disneyland Resort. And I have to say that I don't think that we'll do that again. Crowded!
This time we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove. The Hotel is currently undergoing renovations but that appears to be nearly done. It was a very nice Hotel with a great price! I got a room with two Queen Beds for only $75/ night. I was a bit agast when I had to pony up another $15/night for parking. But since the shuttle van is free I figured that I was saving from having to spend that money on parking in the Mickey & Friends parking structure.
The room was very clean and maid service was excellent. There was no refridgerator in the room, however, I did not ask for one. So, I wasn't sure if that was really a detriment or not.
The hotel made mention of free dining for children. We were charge for our kids food. I've been stabbed by this phony promotion before. When you read the fine print it mentions some pretty tight restrictions on the "free" meal. I thought that was pretty annoying! Homewood Suites across the street was feeding it's occupants both breakfast and dinner for FREE! Adults and Children.
Shuttle Service was nearly always on time but it was crowded! Again probably more a factor of the season than anything. They were very aware of peak times for shuttling guests and often had another bus there for overflow. The driver were always friendly. The shuttle was there for the magic mornings at 6:30 am.
Overall, we had a great stay with them and I will probably stay there again when I want an inexpensive room. (although, I'm going to check out that Homewood Suites)
