I know there hasn't been much posted on the DIS regarding Flightline as I tried to research them before booking this shuttle service to Logan.
The flightline van arrived at our door three minutes early. The driver, Steve, was fantastic! He was very helpful and chatty which helped me relax. We picked up a group of businessmen on the way, and headed to Logan. The businessmen were worried about making their international flight, so he asked us if we minded if he dripped them off first. Steve navigated the CRAZY roads of Logan and we were dropped off in front of our terminal and the EXACT estimated time. It took the driver exactly an hour from Pease in Porstmouth to the International terminal at Logan. And THAT was in heavy traffic.
Upon our return to Logan we weren't so lucky. I called FLightline when we landed as instructed to do, and told that the driver would meet us outside the terminal in 15 minutes. While I was dealing with lost luggage, Ted went out to meet the Flightline Van at the time they said it would be outside. He waited until 12:20am (20 minutes past the time they said she'd be there) and then we called again. They said that the woman has sat there waiting for us and drove away to pick up another passenger. She finally arrived ANOTHER 20 mintues later, and she was in a barely marked, rental van, not your typical white Flightline one. She complained to us that she had waited for us.
She then proceeded to drop off the other passenger first, though his drop off point was about 20 minutes PAST our house. THEN, the driver stopped for gas!!!!! We didn't get home until 2:10am from a flight that landed at 11:30pm. A normal drive from Logan with no traffic at that time of night should be less than an hour.
We were less than pleased!!!!!
I guess it is hit or miss with Flightline, it depends on who you get for a driver and what time of day it is.
Not sure if I'll use it again, but I do know that I will NEVER try to drive it! What a mess around Logan. There is a great deal of construction, and with the traffic congestion, I could have NEVER done it on my own!
