I checked into the Courtyard property at Little Lake Bryan yesterday but couldn't get on the laptop without waiting for technical help this morning from our IT staff back home. Anyway---the Courtyard at the Marriott Village is a nice property. There is one pool--it is an indoor-outdoor pool (part of it is outside and part of it is inside but it's all one pool); there are two hot tubs--one inside and one outside. The outdoor pool has a zero entry at one end for the little ones and also a big sprinkler like water "umbrella" thing for them to play under next to the pool.
I had a few maintenance issues but they have been mostly resolved quickly (the refrigerator in the room was not cold at all when I got back from the store last night, maintenance came and said they fixed it but my water is still not as cold as I like); my inroom jacuzzi has 7 jets and last night only 3 of them were working, so while I was at work today maintenance came and fixed it. Overall I like this property. My DH & I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in January and decided we did NOT like that one -- several rooms are on the I4 side and you can hear the traffic, their pool is only an outdoor pool and the beds weren't as comfortable.
There is a food court that serves all 3 hotels--Pizza Hut, hot dog place, deli, grill, bakery and a TCBY. Walking distance restaurants are Golden Corral and Bahama Breeze. Little further is a Lone Star and Landry's. There's a game room across from the food court. The Courtyard has a fitness room.
Oh yeah---I actually had 2 reservations for this weekend--last night and tonight as business and then Saturday using a free night certificate. When I arrived I asked if I could keep the same room even though technically the certificate is not good for a spa room--they were more than willing to oblige so I get to keep my in room jacuzzi an extra night.
Guest service at the front desk has been wonderful.
I got a copy of the bus schedule but will post it in a separate post.
Sunday I check into the Downtown Disney Courtyard.
