Since I arrived on March 26 for my most recent trip to WDW and had been up since 3:00 in the morning, I decided to have an early (5:30) ADR. I was about 15 minutes early and had a short wait.

I was traveling as a single and am always concerned that I will be placed at a table near the swinging doors of the kitchen. However, I was placed at a wonderful table right in front of the huge aquarium. I had a great view of the fish and the scuba divers.

My meal started with a mixed greens salad with a Key Lime vinaigrette. I am not a big fan of vinaigrettes, preferring instead a creamy dressing instead but I was pleasantly surprised.

My entree was the grilled Mahi-Mahi on a bed of Israeli couscous and arugula. The differing taste sensations were adventuresome but not something that I would have again.

I followed all this with the Chocolate Wave. I have no photo of the dessert but it appears similar to a lava cake. It was extremely delicious (as chocolate usually is :rotfl2:).

All the portions were small but, for me, it was enough. A big eater, however, might feel cheated.

This wasn't the best meal of my trip but it was well presented and with my table location, I give the Coral Reef five stars. I definitely would go again.

Glad to hear a positive review. I've got ADRs in less than a month and your photos and feedback are encouraging.

Mahi Mahi, the best of our table's entrees.

It was our favorite place, and next time we hope to dine there again.

Thank for the review!!!

I know it is just me but I would feel guilty eating fish in front of the fish. Of course the fish is so good that I would also hate to miss out on the fish. It is this delima that has been the only thing to hold me back from going to Coral Reef. It totally sounds delightful from your review. Maybe I should just not worry and go for it.

Actually, I only look at the sharks and the scuba divers and, if I'm not mistaken, both do eat fish.:rotfl2:

Don't worry about it: if the fish were big enough, they would have no hesitation about having us for dinner.:rotfl:

And congratulations on the baby-in-waiting. My youngest grandchild is a mere three months old and a pleasure (and much quieter than his 21 month old brother.)

Great review - nice to hear something positive about Coral Reef :)

We ate there in the end of April and I was a bit disappointed. I had the Mahi Mahi also and it didn't entice me to come back. The lobster bisque wasn't bad as an appetizer.

Nice to hear you enjoyed it. :) Pictures too! Wow! You are thorough!!! I am disappointed no picture of the dessert though..... ;)
My hubby and I ate there when we were in Disney in January. It was our first time trying Coral Reef and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Neither of us are fish people so we had steak.....it was excellent.
We immensely enjoyed our table for two right in front of the aquarium as well. We plan on eating there again when we go back in August. :thumbsup2
