Hey everyone. I just got back from WDW. My friend and I stayed at All-Star Music for 6 nights and 1 night night at CSR.

All-Star Music (Building 6, Room 6601):

The Exterior: I really loved the Country Fair section. It was quiet and well-themed. I didn't think it was as far back as I've heard, but it was far enough after a day at the parks.

The Interior: The rooms were recently refurbished, so they were obviously new looking. Even with two people we did have a problem with the sink, being a girl, my friend took forever to get ready, and me being a guy, took 5 minutes, but had to wait for her to get done because of the one sink and lack of counter space. But we did like the TV's size and the curved shower rod in the bathroom.

The Food Court: The food court had a better selection than I thought, but it took them sometimes 5-10 minutes for them to prepare your food. And we wouldn't eat breakfast there because it was kind of crazy.

Pools: We never used them. They were always filled with people because it was always crazy hot outside.

Buses/Bus Stops: About 90% of the trip, All-Star Music its own bus, so that was good. But the bus stops were just randomly in front of the hotel with no hood over our heads, so we felt like we were being cooked out there. I know its hot in August, but a hood would of been a lot better.

At CSR we were in Casitas building 3, room 3197.

The Exterior: The theming was great. It was like being at 3 different Mexican-themed resorts because of the 3 different sections. We were in Casitas.

The Interior: The rooms seemed very 1990s to me. I don't know why though. When we walked in there was a weird smell (probably mold, but it wasn't a problem). We did find the rooms a lot bigger than our All-Star Music room. Still the one sink was still an issue, but being here only one night, wasn't really a problem. But we missed the large TV and the curved shower rod here!

The Food Court: I HATED the Pepper Market. We had no idea what were doing, so we just walked in and randomly sat down, haha. Then eventually we noticed these tickets people had, so we then went up to the front, then we seated again and given these tickets. We understood now, but it wasn't as convienent as the All-Stars. The food wasn't even that great either.

Pools: Never used them, so no opinion really.

Buses/Bus Stops: We liked how there multiple bus stops throughout the resort. And with hoods! Which made the waiting not bad at all.

Overall, I liked both resorts, but I just love the deluxes. I really want to stay at either the CR, Poly, or GF next.

We did finish a lot more than we expected at the parks, so we spent A LOT of time at the resorts. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer them.

Great photos! I'm with you on the PepperMarket. Annoying, and you get charged an extra 10% for the privilege of sitting down.

Loved the photos of All star music, will have to visit there next time we go. The rooms look fresh, inviting.

CSR-The outside area is nice, pretty. I do wonder when Disney will decide to re-hab the rooms.

I've added a few more...

Some of All-Star Music...

klofan, thank you for the review and the photos. I can honestly say that I have never seen pictures on here before of the music section you were at or of broadway! It was nice to see a different resort and of different views! Thanks you so much.

But it is included in the DDP so there is no additional out of pocket cost. Or you can eat outside on the promenade and also avoid the 10%. Nice tables overlooking the lake. Plenty of options at CSR.

Thank you for the review.

We stayed at ASMu in June and found it to be very nice as well. It was the only value we had not stayed in yet and I wonder why it took us so long to stay there. We were in Broadway building 7 and absolutely loved it. Your pictures brought back fond memories. I think I will have to get mine out again and look at them.

I am glad you had a nice stay at ASMu and WDW.

The last place I wanted to be was out in the heat during the extremely hot summer when I was trying to enjoy a meal. CSR isn't cheap, and I think it should be OK to eat CS in air conditioning without having to pay additional $$ for the honor.

I do respect your fondness for CSR, and your expert views help many folks.

What a nice review of All Star Music and CSR.
I loved your photos of both resorts.
Sorry it was so busy when you were there but you are correct summer is a very busy season at Disney.
When DH and I stay at All Star Music if we want something in the morning before we hit the parks we usually just get a grab and go from the fridge section or pastry section. That way we do not have to wait for the chefs to prepare the food.
They wait until you place your order so it will be fresh but then it does take a few minutes to prepare the food.
We have also found the buses are very good at Music and we very raley shared our Music bus with another All Star.

Like you I do wish the values had covered bus areas to give a little protection to guests from the sun and/or rain.

I am glad you and your fiend enjoyed your holiday at Disney.

Welcome back!

Thank you for your review! I have stayed at both ASM and CSR, and for the money I preferred ASM. Our room there was cleaner and the CM's were much nicer IMO. Of course, it was a pretty long time ago when we stayed at ASM, and actually I liked Pop better than either ASM or CSR! The rooms at CSR are in need of rehabbing, you are right. The furniture is what my DBF called Early Nickelodeon :lmao: That is one reason I am going to give PO French Quarter a try next time. It has a more upscale look to it. I'm sure any Disney vacation is fun no matter where you are :thumbsup2

Thanks for the review and pictures. :)

Makes me want to stay at ASMusic even more than I did before!! :thumbsup2

3 more weeks until ASMusic. Thank you for your review and pix.

I loved CSR and Pepper Market but cant wait to try ASMu.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

 Your friend got out an ironing board at Disney! That is shocking! Thanks for the pics.
