Sunday: Breakfast at Kona Cafe......delicious! Me 41, Hubby 50, daughters 18 and 16 (been , oldest daughter's boyfriend 19 (never been)and youngest daughter's friend 16 (never been).
Five tonga toasts...fantastic as usual all around. Unfortunately daughter's friend was car-sick but staff was exceptional with her. :worship: They made up a small fruit platter with yogurt dip, some dry toast and tea and charged us for a child's breakfast. By noon she was better! Coffee was wonderful after long car drive. We got the Kona in the press pot. Even our self proclaimed coffee-hating teens kept "tasting" it :thumbsup2 Highly recommend for breakfast and dinner! A+

Lunch- Casey's -best hotdogs in the world! Limited seating as usual. B+
Dinner- ordered pizza to AKLV
Dessert- Dole Whip! Need I say more! A+ :cool1:

Monday- breakfast in villa

lunch- Restaurantosaurus- decent cheeseburgers. Four of us got those and youngest and her friend just wanted fries. Got them from Petrifries and brought them in to eat with us. Obviuosly we were all jealous of THEIR fries.
Very long lines at 1pm, more so than other places. C+

dinner- Yak and Yeti- we really enjoyed this meal. We had been reading mixed reviews but it was just like eating at PF Chang's at home and it was only miniminally more expensive. Shared 3 appetizers.....wok fried green beans which were fantastic, dim sum which was very good, and lettuce cups which were good but we prefer PF Changs. We had 2 chicken lo meins...declared very good, 2 beef and broccoli...delish, one ribs...just ok because he was expecting hoisin flavor as advertised cause he loves it and got bbq sauce. He still declared them good but just not what he expected and lastly one salmon which my husband said was very good and done perfectly. Portions nice size Oh....Yak Attack very refreshing and fairly strong .Overall A- :cloud9:

Tues- breakfast in villa

lunch- ESPN for wings (excellent) and nachos (also very good).
Beaches and Cream- for the kitchen sink. All 6 of us finished it. The four teens didn't know they turned off the lights, sang and made everyone stare at us. Of course it didn't stop them from digging in while they said, "everyone is still watching us" :rotfl2: This was everything everyone said it was. Fun, huge, messy, and a great picture and memory for $22.

late dinner- Sci Fi.......2 burgers and onion rings ( you can't go wrong) and 4 shrimp penne pasta. Be aware they recently changed the ingredients from plum tomatoes, white wine, spinach and asiago cheese to artichoke hearts, feta, spinach and sundried tomatoes. It was also very good but just informing DISers in casr they're looking for the old stand-by. Nice sized portion and huge burgers. Atmosphere is great. The boyfriend and friend who have never been to Disney before were astonished! Great place to go with good American food....go once for a great time! B+ :3dglasses

Wednesday- breakfast in villa

lunch- Sunshine Seasons- average to good food. Alot of seating, AC, and variety of food. We had three Asian entrees ( all said that it was like Panda Express- ok to good....spicy thai chicken and mongolian beef), two had Focciacia sandwiches ( turkey and ham/salami....I think they got the better of the deal and so did they. Very big) and one grilled chicken caesar salad (good and pretty big). Desserts there are incredible. We split three. The Asian Chocolate torte was to die for, the strawberry shortcake tasted like they used real whipped cream, no fake stuff. The key lime pie was als good, it's just the other two were fantastic!! :thumbsup2 Overall: food- C+, desserts A-

DINNER: LeCellier- always my fave and it still is! Service was excellent. Waited about 10-15 for our table. All the breads are yummy but the pretzel bread still holds a place in my heart. All 6 of us got the cheddar cheese soup ( I know...makes for a boring review)- still delish! For dinner we had 2 NY strips (hubby and daughter's boyfriend) that were declared "the best" and devoured, one prime rib that my daughter's friend who weighs 100 lbs. soaking wet ate the whole thing, 2 mushroom filet mignons that melted in your mouth (me and oldest daughter) and one salmon (daughter) that she gets everytime and insists it's better than mine :confused3 . I know,What is she thinking? Consensus is that it was our favorite meal of the week. Oh yeah, Torontopolitan...made perfectly....A+ :woohoo:

Thurs- breakfast at Cape May Cafe. Service good and refills aplenty. Buffet was good and fresh. The one downer for me is the so called holiday charge for buffets. (7-3-08). I understand our ressie was on July 3rd but the charge lasted from June 23-July 7th. A little bit much in my opinion. It turned out to cost as much as Yak and Yeti for breakfast. We did the character buffet for the newbies' experience but would have preferred to go back to Kona Cafe for the price. This is no reflection on the restaurant, just Disney policy. Restaurant B+, holiday surcharge D-

Lunch- Casey's again. It was a popular choice

We had a wonderful time. Stayed at AKLV AND BCV 2 BDRM VILLAS. Weather was fantastic, though hot 88-92 everyday as expected. Rain once when we were in LeCellier and stopped before we left. Food was great, no complaints. Back to reality!!!!! Starting to plan our first Christmas time trip 12/09-1/10.....that countdown is toooo long. Will have to wait to post the days so I don't get too depressed ;)

Great reviews! How nice of you to bring your kids' friends. How did that work out. I would like to bring my son's girlfriend upcoming but I just couldn't afford it.

These are my favorite kind of reviews - short, sweet, graded (well, I'm a teacher and all . . . ).

Would love to do the Kitchen Sink once. Do they take the picture of you, or are you saying you had the waitress snap one for you?

Thanks for the reviews! I'm really looking forward to the mushroom filet at Le Cellier as well as the Kitchen Sink. YUM!

Thanks for the reviews! I,too, love the short and to the point ones.

My kids saw a family with teenagers attempt the Kitchen Sink. Someday they want to try it, but at this point, all they want is vanilla so I don't think they would enjoy it. It looks so fun though!

Glad to hear the nachos and wings were good at ESPN Club!

Nice break planned from Epcot!

Beaches and Cream sounds fun too!

Thx.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

My family did the kitchen sink on our trip last month, and YUMM! Would have been better if we weren't stuffed from dinner at Yachtsman steakhouse before, but it was still disgustingly delicious :)
