Review:Disney: Animal Kingdom - Donald's Breakfastasaurus

Nope, never again.

I had read so many positive reviews here that we had to give it a second try. When we dined here, we were instructed to have cameras and autograph books ready because the characters would not be able to wait or return. It was rushed, rushed, rushed. If I remember correctly, we did have one of the first seatings too. Definately our least favorite character breakfast.

Our must do's are Cape May & Crystal Palace.

To add to my earlier post, I had an 8:00 seating and was still rushed. The characters visited our section first (the little one on the far side of the restaurant away from the buffet lines) but spend so little time with everyone. I don't think it matters what time you go.

We've been twice and never had a problem. Food was fine and character interaction was great. Our last visit we had a great server who involved her whole section in different jokes and made time to take pictures for us, etc...I would go back.

i wanted to try thid on our upcoming trip in dec.---on another board i read they do something a little different for the christmas season---is this true?? i hope we won't be disappointed with the experience--there is nothing worst than feeling rushed while eating..which by the way i felt totally rushed when we did the breakfast at the castle..as pretty as it was we had the server try and grab our plates 2 times before we were even done(it seemed liked the minute they seen a fork hit the table they would just run over an grab up your plate.

We may be returning for Christmas. If I can get one of the first seatings, I'd be willing to giving Donald's another try.

Our bad experience was at the first seating. It almost seemed like they were running behind that day and took it out on us. We were yelled at from the time we were picked up at the check in table by our waiter, until the characters were done with us. We were so stressed we couldnt wait to get out of there...we even skipped having our picture taken.

WE WILL BE THERE TOMORROW, 7/8 AT 10:30 AM I WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW HOW IT GOES UPON OUR RETURN, MAYBE WE WILL HAVE TO TELL THEM TO "CHILL OUT A BIT". SEE YA REAL SOON

Great! Can't wait to hear how it goes for you; hopefully you'll have a good experience. It's just not fun to spend the bucks and not get the anticipated service. Anyways, I did take the advice of someone's earlier post and actually notify Disney of the problems I (and apparently a few others) encountered at this character meal. Perhaps they will look into it? I don't know, I've never contacted the powers that be before!

We have had excellent experiences twice at Donald's. We choose a later seating (10:30 or so) and have had excellent servers (Neil). The characters have been around at least twice, and since DH is "Don" he wears a Donald shirt and we get lots of attention (we've been without kids both times). I even debate with DH whether the food is better than Crystal Palace or not. I love the Breadfast Pizza!.

Truely sorry others haven't had the same pixie dust!

This was our least favorite character meal also. We were rushed, cramped, sat in a dark area and waited forever in the buffet line. My kids and husband were done eating before I even got through the line. Glad we tried it, but we will never go back here.
