Uh-Oa! Uh-Oa! Uh-Oa!

Challenge: You are given the task to build a bar, taking notes from Trader Sams at the Poly, at another WDW resort of your choosing. It must be THEMED as well as, and given a backstory equal to, Trader Sams. (If you've never been please google to get an idea). This includes drinks, the menu/food, and all the interactive elements like the ones found at TS (think Krakatoa). What resort...where in that resort (either replace something existing or build an addition)...and describe everything listed above in detail.

Example: I would re-theme Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge to reflect an old saloon. Obviously keeping it family-friendly. I can picture certain songs being played on a dusty, old piano..incorporating old poker chips and playing cards into the decor and drinks...having cast members dress in various period-correct costumes to act as if they are traveling and just stopping in for a rest or drink (backstory) while going table to table sharing their adventures...

GO and have fun!

Tie it in to SEA / BTMRR. Special effects can include dynamite "explosions". My sister and I were just talking about this this weekend.

A Haunted Mansion themed bar in the Grand Floridian would be cool, too.

I actually thought about the BTMRR tie-in too and love the idea! Would you have it be a place the miners go to after work to swap stories and relax? Or would you have a different backstory? I can see establishing some fun traditions/songs for the guest to interact with (think Adventurer's Club).

Also..love the Haunted Mansion idea at the GF! There's almost too much you can do with that.

Contemporary is a bar somewhat similar to the Hogwarts express at the Universal studios. The bar is a monorail where there is a story that takes place outside the window and can vary based on what is ordered. However, each drink is futuristic looking or named.

Would the monorail bar be a part of an existing passenger train and travel around the MK loop or just be stationed in the Contemporary? Either way, i love this idea! Thank you!

Yeah, I would go for something like this.

I was thinking of something at the Contemporary, a bit of an extension of Tomorrowland, with windows to Space. The backstory would involve Space Mountain, "Starport 75," etc. (not exactly that, but in that mode). Futuristic collectible mugs to include Astronaut helmet, Lunar Lander, and the big one akin to the Nautilus at Trader Sam's, "The Black Hole" which is served in a ceramic USS Cygnus!

Okay, it's a pipe dream, though after typing it it sounds like the unnamed space themed restaurant going in at Epcot!

There's so much you can do with that theme and story! Think of the interesting lighting options and ways you can play with the food. The collectible mugs are a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

Easy answer: Mos Eisley Cantina in the new SW-themed hotel. Exotic drinks, SW's motif, alien characters, zippy music. I suspect some Imagineers have been working on this for quite some time now.

I was going to say..there's no way they don't include something like this either in the land or hotel. A riot would ensue. Thanks!
