We had Tim Herring & he was great. We had no problems at all beforehand. We e-mailed him our exact ceremony (we wrote our own ceremony), and he read just what we'd sent him to read, without adding or improvising. This was important to us, since there were certain elements that we did NOT want included, and we liked that he stuck to our script.
He was also great during the ceremony. When I was repeating my vows, I started sobbing, and he kind of made light of it by telling me to take a break, it was okay, and then telling my husband to give me a "calming little kiss." It was funny, so it made me laugh, which broke the crying spell
He was very dignified. We also chose him because I liked that he had adopted his children. As a teacher, I'm a HUGE fan of adoption; so many people choose to pass along their own genes, instead of thinking about all those poor kids just being shuttled from foster home to foster home, often being abused and living in fear & misery. Very, very sad... I thought he must be a good man, to bring so many homeless children into his family. I wanted a good man on my wedding day.
Also, call me superficial, but there is something about Jack Day's mouth that bothers me.
Cheers!
