Reunion resort waterpark access question

The Wyndham site for Reunion (Kissimmee) states if you rent from them you have access to the onsite waterpark. It states if you rent from a private owner from a site such as VRBO those owners have restricted access. In fact a response to a negative post on tripadvisor someone from Wyndham stated that only hoteliers have access to the waterpark.

I note that some of the owners on VRBO advertise access to the waterpark. How can I confirm this is a true statement? Looking for advice.

I'm not sure if there is any way to check with Reunion which private owners have access. Each owner can opt in for waterpark access. We rented a 3 bed condo through a timeshare trade and had waterpark access daily for up to 8 people. I noticed when checking into rentals on VRBO for our upcoming trip some owners have no access and some said they could only get access for certain days.

Wyndham timeshare owners and guests of owners do get access, that much I know. So this would apply if you rented from some place like vacation strategy that rents WBC and other Wyndham timeshares. All of the Wyndham units are 3 bedrooms though.

The rules just changed for home rental access per several reputable rental companies. I will see if I still have the info and will post.

From the email, note some rental companies may have some slight variations like the cost of the pass, but every company we inquired with had this same new info- Reunion Resort has made a few policy changes regarding the use of the resort amenities. As of December 15, 2014, All Star Vacation Homes will offer amenity access packages to our guests staying in Reunion. Guests will have access to all of the resort amenities, some of which will now need to be scheduled in advance. A day pass will be required for the following resort amenities: • Golf courses • Water park • Tennis facility • Spa • Select pools within the resort: (Sandy Ridge; Sunset Ridge; Whisper Way; Cabana Court; Center Court Ridge) Many amenities are open at any time without a day pass: • Fitness center & game room • Restaurants • Splash pad water feature • Pools: (Heritage Crossing (2); The Terraces; Seven Eagles; Gathering Drive; Carriage Pointe) We are offering guests staying in Reunion Resort an amenities package: • Stays up to 5 nights = 1 day pass - resort amenity access • Stays 6-7 nights = 2 day passes - resort amenity access A 1-day pass provides access for 8 guests to utilize resort amenities. Additional access for larger parties can be arranged for $15/adult and $10/child, ages 2-17; children under 2 are free.
