Hello All ~ In 2001 we stayed 9 nights at CBR, in 2002 we stayed 10 nights at CSR. We LOVED CBR! We are trying to plan the next trip ~ April 2006. I want to do two resorts. FQ is one and the second is still up for debate. However, dd really wants to return to CBR.

[1] I am frightened we might be disappointed with CBR a second time. It was magic in 2001 ~ but they say you can never return home.

[2] I was hoping to try as many different WDW resort as possible.

What to do? S :confused3

I'm such a creature of habit, I like returning to the familiar!!
Pick a resort that is really appealing to you, don't pressure yourself to try out a new one.

Our first time onsite was POFQ...we loved it so much that the second (and last) time we went back we stayed their again. For our trip next year, we are staying at the WL because we want to try a deluxe, but will probably end up back at POFQ at some point again.

I've stayed twice at CBR and the second time was just as wonderful as the first! :sunny:

But I do understand wanting to try out new resorts. It's a tough call, but if you do return to CBR, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the least. Our first stay there was in 2001, and when I went back in 2002, the rooms had all been refurbished, and since then, they've put in a brand new sit-down restaurant and remodeled the food court. So it really wouldn't be *exactly* like your first trip in 2001 :)

Time to split your stay especially if your spending 5 or more nights. Just gives you the best of both worlds and allows you to try a new resort in POFQ. I also intend to try the different resorts but always leave a little time to just enjoy my favorites. Split your time and you'll find that you love CBR all over again.

I like to try different resorts too. July 04, I stayed at AKL and LOVED it, but this year I am going to try BWI. I also sayed at CBR and was very happy also.

Our first stay was at the BWI in 2002. We tried the Wilderness Lodge last year and liked it well enough but I missed the Boardwalk terribly. We are staying there again this year and then will probably do a split stay in 2007. Don't be afraid to go back to your favorite!!

I've stayed at ALK 3 times and have enjoyed each time at least as much as the last. I've stayed at the poly twice- I didn't like it the first time but loved it the second.

The problem with trying too many resorts is that you'll end up with lots of favorites which makes planning the *next* trip that much harder.

I think I would try a few others out before repeating a stay if possible, I love POR and would return in a heartbeat but I really would like to try CSR and a deluxe one day but I cant afford deluxe just yet..

I always struggle with selecting a resort for 2 reasons. (1) I want to try as many resorts as possible. (2) I am always wanting to return to the previous resort we stayed at.
As much as I loved AKL, Poly and WL, I still want to try Yacht/Beach Club, Swan, etc.
A good choice for you would be a split stay! :flower:

I wouldn't worry about being disappointed. The first time I went to Disney I was ten and my grandma took me to Port Orleans. I loved it.

For my honeymoon last year I just had to see if it was how I remembered. We stayed there again and I loved it!

We are leaving tomorrow for 1st anniversary and where are we staying? Port Orleans.

I figure, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

However, I do sympathize with you wanting to try different resorts. For me, I think it will be POFQ until we can afford a deluxe.
