Hi all,

Been reading the UG to WDW , and suspect we will need to do this durring our week trip so DS's 3 & 1 and US can rejuvinate.

Question - How easy is it to return to our hotel at CBR from the parks durring that time. Presuming we take the bus, how log of a wait ? If we are at MK is it better to take the monorail to EPCOT first then bus it?

Thanks!

Hello,
Even this summer with two 11 year olds and a 8 year old we returned to our resort for a rest and usually a sound nap was had by all. The bus system is great, but flow of the crowd is hard to predict. If your kiddos are on a set schedule and have a specific nap time, you might want to plan on a hour to get from a park to your resort. That can be an overestimate - but sometimes keeping a schedule is important! Good luck!

Thanks ! - Yeah they are on a schedule but since we're west coasters. I'm figgurin that'll get trashed right off the bat.:upsidedow

But good point to try to stay consistant in any case! The biggest issue I suspect will be with our 3-1/2 year old.. our 8 month old will likely cat nap where ever.

Is there a bus for each hotel ?
Anyone know how often they run at mid-day?
Also, is there an option of getting a Cab at the parks ..Just in case of severe melt down ! I here they run about $10 ...which just might be worth it :rotfl:

There are buses for each resort (some share buses - but I'm not sure which ones). The buses run constatnly and I don't know that I have ever waited more than 30 minutes for a bus. It seems that they usually show up every 10-15 minutes.

We are from the west coast as well and the time adjustment can zap you. We are all early risers and usually go to bed early. On Disney trips we rise early and go until we have lunch. We then head back to the resort to nap and/or swim. All 5 of us rest. That way we can make it late to see fireworks etc. Coming back to west coast time is no picnic either - but ALL worth it.

I know that I have taken a cab from a resort to a park, but don't know where they drop you off or where you get one. That might be at the ticket and transportation center. If that is the case, you're just as well off to take the resort bus. But, I'm unsure where you find the cabs. It would be worth checking out before you go!

you should plan about 45-60 to get to your resort for midday breaks..
