Returning an item bought on Disney Park app to WDW

I posted this question in the Budget Board, but didn't get any responses. I bought a t-shirt on the Disney Parks app and it is too big. Can I return it to the park when I visit WDW later this month, or do I have to ship it back?

I emailed Disney Merchandising a week ago and haven't heard from them. If I do, I'll post the answer here. I thought someone here may know the answer.

My understanding is that technically they aren't supposed to do exchanges for merchandise sold via the ShopDisneyParks App at park merchandise locations. That said, apparently the customer support CM told my DM to simply bring the item to a location that stocked it and say we forgot the receipt in the room, but want to exchange for different size. But your mileage may vary.
