As an FYI - unless you KNOW the folks giving you a 6 bedroom house off-property at a rate of $99 per night - I'd be suspicious of that rate. Yes - off-property house rentals can save money - but that seems exceedingly CHEAP - hence - I'd question what you are getting. 6 "rooms" seems more likely.

Thats actually a very common rate for a 6BR home on vrbo. Have rented that size many times for that price. Am currently looking at a few 4BR in Regal Palms for $79 a night. Feedback from other guests is your friend on sites like that. I'd never rent from someone with less than 10 feedback.

You might consider splitting up your group at AK - some get FP's for FOP - and if a couple adults are willing to forgo FOP - maybe a couple get FP's on Navi - and take the kids on that.

I wouldn't count on getting a value studio at AKV at 7 months out. I don't even know if you can get them at 7 1/2 months out. My understanding is that they go fast.

If OP is considering DVC, she needs to be aware of the room layouts and number of real beds as opposed to sofa beds, sleep chairs and small beds that pull down from the wall. Some people need a certain number of real beds.

The sofa bed in the studio is fine. Adult daughter had no complaints and 2 people could comfortably sleep there. Like a regular room at AKL they sleep 4. So OP would be fine. The value studios do go quickly and I needed space for 9 so we booked at 11 months out and got a 2br. Standard view and a value studio through Davids for December. It won't hurt to try for it. I really just need to purchase DVC and stop renting. Maybe in a year or so. Good luck OP

Well, I don't know OP, so I don't know that OP's group would be fine in any particular room, just because your adult daughter was fine. For all I know, somebody in OP's group has back issues and would not be comfortable on a sofa bed. Maybe people in OP's group are the size of Charles Barkley and wouldn't fit in a sleep chair. Sometimes people think the layout in dvc rooms is the same as the layout in hotel rooms, and I just want them to be aware that they need to investigate the bed situation before they book.

thanks - i don't know the OP either but i do know the DVC rooms at AKV and they are great. If OPs family is Charles BArkly size then they would not fit a regular Queen bed nor a TWin sleep chair. The studios don't have a chari do they? since they sleep 4? The 1br not value 1br sleep 5 with one being in a twin chair size bed. My point is the bed is a Queenish size and my daughter who is a very particular child slept fine on it for 6 nights. I apologize in advance for offending anyone since i obviously did in my other post. Good luck OP have fun!
