Return call, how long?

Ok, I know I am being super inpatient....but, why is it taking TSS so long to call me back! I called around noon, still no return call. DH and I finally decided to buy, found the "perfect" contract, and now, I can't get anyone to answer the phone.....or return a phone call to me.

Any suggestions? Anyone have any suggestions of a person, or way to call someone direct?

Boy- 3 hours on a Sunday? I really think you are being super impatient. I have no idea what their hours are, but my initial thought wouldn't even be to call a business on a Sunday. Now chances are, knowing them, they probably do work on Sundays, but I don't think you are being reasonable myself.

Vicki--I call on a Sunday because I work Monday-Friday, and don't have the time to call on a weekday. When I worked in Real Estate, Sunday was our "big" day! I leased more apartments on Sunday then I did any other day of the week. This is my first dealing with them, so, that is why I posted this to ask..........

How long does it normally take to get a return phone call from them?

They are open 7 days a week as their website indicates. You don't mention if this is your first contact with them, or have you communicated before? If it is your first contact, I would definitely think it will take longer than 3 hours to receive a call back. Sunday I am sure, as you indicated yourself, is an extremely busy day for clients to be in touch with them, making offers, closing, etc. Plus, with the March 20 announcement, they have posted here that they have been extremely busy making sales.

All I can suggest is to email them as well indicating what you are looking for. Most folks shopping resales do make contact with a reseller, indicate exactly what they are looking for, and then when new contracts come up they are able to receive a much quicker contact from the agency.

I'd give them another call. I've bought and sold using them and have always found them to be super-responsive.

I emailed about a couple of listings on a Wednesday afternoon. I had a call about 8 that evening. By 9 the next morning the seller had accepted my offer and by noon I had a contract emailed to me.

I would suggest the email route as well. It is hard to wait when you find a great contract, I hope it works out for you. Good luck!

I would call again and make sure they understand you are ready to buy a posted listing, because things seem to be moving very fast. But don't be too disappointed if it has already gone "sale pending" and not been updated on the website yet. I just missed one yesterday! Definitely e-mail them also so you can be added to the email of new listings, but be aware that not everyone gets the email at the same time so you may still call as soon as you get the email and it may be already sold... With the speed at which contracts are selling these days, I wouldn't wait 3 hours to see if someone was going to call me back. I mean, if times were different and part of me was also trying to test the waters to see if this was a broker I wanted to do business with, then yeah, I might wait. But ideal contracts don't last long so if you see something you really want, I would call every 30 minutes until I got someone on the phone.

From their perspective, if the phones are constantly ringing and they're talking to one customer after another, it might be difficult to go through voice mail and call people back quickly. But if you keep calling, you're bound to get a person eventually instead of voice mail.

Right now, this is just not a buyer's market so my unsolicited advise is to decide which is most important to you, finding a business with good business etiquette or scoring the perfect resale contract.
