For our pool day we have breakfast at Ohana booked and Jiko for dinner....we have four adults and 3 young kids...wondering if it is worth it to use 2 table service credits for Jiko or should I be switching it to something else???? The kids and their grandpas are fishing in the morning and doing Captain cooks for lunch after while I take the youngest to Ohana for breakfast...what other options for dinner are good...we plan to hang around the pool all day! thanks

I feel like Jiko can be a bit of a drawn out process (which we love). However, I know my children when they were under about age 8 would not have had the patience for such a meal in a way that would have been enjoyable to us.

What about:
Whispering Canyon
Kona Cafe

If you wanted to go to AKL but aren't sure about Jiko and using 2 credits, why not check out Sanaa over at Kidani? Kidani and Jambo are within walking distance and there is also a shuttle that goes between the 2.

We went to Jiko last monday and we weren't crazy about the food at Jiko. We both had dietary restrictions and felt that we got a better deal next door at Boma (buffet) than at Jiko

it'll be full of kids, but a 2 credit restaurant is not the best used of credits if you are on the regular plan. With kids, you are spending 2 credits for them to eat a child's meal. If you're concerned about using 2 credits, switch to Boma or Sanaa.

Honestly, unless you want to see AKL and explore that resort, I wouldn't go all the way over to AKL from Poly to eat. We really like Jiko and have been there with our DS (he went when he was 6), but it is long and drawn out, however, we enjoy Sanaa just as much. I would really suggest if you want to visit AKL, you may want to consider Sanaa or Boma instead - the food is good (we especially like Sanaa) and it's a little more casual. If choosing Sanaa, you may want to get there before the sun sets to see the animals.

If your goal is to just eat at a really good 2 TS, I would consider Artist Point at WL. The food is excellent and WL is closer. You could even take the boat over to Ft. W and see the ponies and play on the playground. If you are just looking for good food and don't want to use 2 TS credits, try the Wave at CR (you could still take a boat to Ft. W afterward).

OR go to Disney Springs and eat at the Boathouse - it's excellent!
