We have never tried this before, but I always hear great things about it. I think my family would really enjoy the entertainment. What entree would you suggest for my DH and I? This will be a first for us and we are pretty meat and potatoes. We aren't afraid to try something new, but don't want to go too overboard. Any advice or suggestions?:sunny:

We ate here in August (ten of us) and everyone agreed......it was fantastic! My Dh and two DB's got sampler meals with a little bit of everything, including soup or a salad and dessert, they loved everything. I got a seafood sampler, which was excellent.
They have many meals to choose from. I would check out Deb Wills site, allears.net to see the menu.
The service was the best we have had on property, very gracious, very friendly. We were the last group in the restaurant, past closing, and we were encouraged to take our time. We left a huge tip!
The coffee and tea selections are excellent as well.

We ate there in Oct. and we loved it! the atmosphere was great. the food wonderful. Even for a "chicken" person like me. I'm always afraid I want like it and will have wasted the $$. But we both got the sampler plates, some of their hot teas, and dessert, and it was great. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We have enjoyed lunch there on both our Disney trips. The food is not overly spicy. We usually have the lunch special that includes and appitizer and main course. The kids meals come with fries but they will substitute rice if you ask.

If you have any questions about the food, ask the server. The first time we ate there, he did a wonderful job explaining the different spice combinations.

The musicians/belly dancer are also very enjoyable.

We just ate there on New Years Eve. We are not adventurous eaters, either, but truly enjoyed our meal there. I can't remember exactly what we had, but my meal had lamb and couscous. My DH had something with chicken. We both loved and raved about our meals. Our kids dinners were good, too. They ate well here, and we all loved the entertainment. Our server was excellent.

We had a great dinner there in March. Out little ones also enjoyed it. I have great pics of them belly dancing! It was one of the longer meals we had at WDW (not that service was slow, just more leisurely...).

If you are really meat and potatoes kind of people, I would recommend the Roast Lamb entree (highly recommended) or the Shish Kabab entree.

If you're feeling more adventurous, the "Night in Casablanca" platter or the Royal Feast are VERY good and allow you to sample a lot of different things.

Hope this helps!

I wanted to add that my son, who is going through an "I'm to old for kiddie menu" phase, ordered off the appetizer menu. Our server explained each selection in detail to DS-10.
DS loved his selection, Seafood Bastilla, and ate every last bite. The serving size was huge, easily enough for two people.
I can't say enough good things about the servers here. They definately go above and beyond to make your experience special.
This is on our must do list for June.

Definitely a favorite of ours too and everyone will enjoy it. The food is pretty mild for the most part and I would recommend the various sampler platters they offer. There is always a nice selection of foods and with whatever I order, I must have the couscous....I love it! Many of the meat dishes are lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg which add an interesting accent to the dishes.

Enjoy!

Well,as usual, I'm the oddball. We ate there 2 years ago. There were 8 in our party, and only one person liked it. Personally, it's not my favorite place to eat. I would say, look at the menu at www.Allears.net to get an idea what they serve there. The cous cous was pretty awful, IMHO.

LOL - I loved the couscous, everytime we would walk by I would run in and get a side order.

Check the entertainment schedule before you plan your PS time. The musiciann & bellydancer are only there at certain times. When we went (Dec) we had a 12:30 PS, the music/dancer was @ 12:50. It lasted about 20 minutes. My family LOVED it. If I went with my original lunch time, though, we would have missed the whole thing!

I ate there Dec/03 and enjoyed it. Had shish kabob and one of the appetizers, wrapped and dusted in sugar & cinnamon. It sounds a little strange but tasted great. The place is also a little less crowded and cramped like most there. Hope you have a great time and enjoy the entertainment.

Where can I find the schedule?

To answer the original post...my DH and I ate here last spring with two of his work buddies (at a conference) and LOVED it!!! We are taking our boys this trip.

Great food...I'm sure you will find something you like. When it boils down to it...you can get some fantastic 'chicken and rice' :teeth:

Steve Soares hosts a website that posts the weekly entertainment schedules for all the parks (sorry- don't have the link for you- DH was cleaning up my favorites  ). Sure someone out there has it! When I planned our trip the Marrakesh music/dancing times did not change week to week.

I feel so alone on this thread :( :worried: :crazy2: There has to be somebody else out there that does not like this restaurant. :teeth:

Oh...it's http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm I use that site, but didn't even think of it  A mind is a terrible thing to waste! :rotfl:

I love this restaurant! I would recommend the Marrakesh Feast- it's one of the "sampler" deals others have mentioned here.

You'll get to try a variety of different flavors... all yummy. I never knew how wonderful chicken and flaky pastry and cinnamon were together until I ate here. And I love the strong Moroccan coffee.

I've also found the staff here to be especially friendly and welcoming.

Try the mint tea :) ! I also agree with the chicken wrapped in pastry with sugar/cinnamon-yum!
My DS6 was not willing to try the food- ordered a hamburger!
