Resturants and Cafes Near St Pancras Station

We have booked a travelodge room next to St Pancras Station to stay the night before our trip to DLP.

I have never been to St Pancras or around this area and was wondering if there are resturants and cafes close by so we can grab some Dinner and Breakfast the morning of our trip? (our booking didnt include breakfast it was an extra £6 for a basic breakfast of cornflakes & cereal bar )

We are hoping that there might be something like a KFC, MC Donalds, Burger King... for dinner... if not then a kebab, pizza hut or chip shop.
And maybe a nice cafe for breakfast.
(We dont want to spend a fortune as we want to keep it all to spend in DLP )

There is mcdonalds across the road from Kings Cross (next door to St Pancras station) and there is a Burger King in Kings Cross (not seats though just takeaway). I have only been in St Pancras in a rush and cant remember whats in it!

I come into Kings Cross everyday which is next door to St Pancras. I don't think there are any sit down restaurants (to my knowledge) in the near vincity. To be honest you are probably better off getting a MacDonald breakfast, its only a short walk.

Are there no cafes on the concourse at St Pancras??

Thanks for your replies Gemmybear and Lisa, thank goodness there are some takeaways around the area... i was hoping there would be as i didnt want to spend a fortune on an expensive table service resturant for dinner the night before, as we want to keep our pennies for DLP

Looks like we will be having a Mcdonalds for dinner the night before then a McDonalds breakfast in the morning before the Eurostar

Haha! The Mcdonalds is to the west of Kings Cross, and on the same side of the road as St Pancras and Kings Cross stations. Just keep walking any you will see it.

and from looking at the menu I would definately go here if I had the choice over McDonalds for both Dinner and Breakfast if you are prepared to pay a bit more.

If you click on the Rations option on the right hand side it will show you it's menu

There's Cafe Nero inside St. Pancras. They do nice coffee and yummy sandwiches which would do in the morning.

There's Pizza Express opposite Kings Cross station and lots of cafes (Starbucks, Costa cafe). I'm sure you can find something nicer than Mc Donalds (sorry but I hate it! - I had food poisoning there and swore to never go in!)

great post, we are there next week so this info is handy.

Have eaten at McDonalds opposited a few weeks ago when we made the trip South to see Madonna and I have to say it wasn't the best but I don't mind their english muffins they serve for brekkie and dd can have the oatso simple
