We arrive 12/21 from PA. We will have pants on due to the early morning cold but will want to change with the forecast being 87. I thought it'd be best to check in at DME then change, if possible. Are there bathrooms available after check in or should we stop on our way?

You will pass restrooms after you get off your flight. Just stop in one and change. There is one near DME that is less busy than the ones near the gates.

Thanks! I was thinking we should check in at DME first to save time?

There are also bathrooms in the ME area in addition to the several you will pass along the way. I'd stop at one that wasn't crowded (not the one in ME) along the way.

if you check in first they will tell what line your in. If you get in line then decide to change I wouldn't count on getting back in the same spot if it's crowded.
I would just change before you check in.:goodvibes

You don't really check in and hang around. You walk up they scan your pass ( or whatever now with the MB) then you immediately get in the line for your hotel. You need the change first. We find the ones right when we get off the plane have been fine. It is easiest to do that then head straight to ME. There are probably bathrooms by. ME but haven't noticed them and haven't wanted to search. The ones by our flight have not had lines. Maybe see if the 1st restroom is busy and if it is...then try by ME.

I agree that you should change at the first non-crowded bathroom you see. There's really no point in checking in before you change. It's not like your place in line will be saved, you'll just have to go to the end of the line when you're done. You could try have half your party save your spot, but that could anger the people around you, and if the bus come while the other half is in the bathroom, you're out of luck!

Thanks everyone for the advice. We have taken DME many times before, we just never needed to do any changing before. We will change prior to checking in...the boys may even change directly into swimsuits for a quick swim upon arrival:)

you'll pass at least 3 to 4 restrooms going to DME.

There are no bathrooms after DME. THe one that is the closest is very tiny and doesn't have a lot of room in the stall to change clothes. I had a hard time changing shirt in there.

Best bet is using one in the gate area as you get off the plane.
