Restroom hand-drying question?

As some of you might recall, I have an obsession with Disney restrooms...

Here and here!

I've heard a rumor that over the last few months Disney is doing away with restroom paper towels and installing hand blow-dryers. I can see some pros and cons to each method and was wondering if anyone here has noticed more of the blowers being installed. I am also curious about your opinion of one method versus the other...

On a related note, do you think this similar idea could be something that Disney starts employing with the toilets (removing toilet paper and going with something like a bidet)?

I realize that these sorts of topics sometimes can get a little bit messy (no pun intended!), but please try to stay on topic!

Thanks!

This is a cut/paste from a recent USA Today article you can find via Google...................

"Apr 12, 2018 - Hand dryers suck in fecal bacteria and blow it all over your hands" ------my comment on this----Gross!

For the record, I have always liked paper towels over hand dryers.

I visit very often and have not noticed any more additions to hand dryers other than the current ones.
As for me, I don't mind either way, tbh, especially in the summer I wash my hands and don't dry them at all cause it's so hot and keeps me cool a bit longer

It seems as though over the years they have added hand dryers and reduced, but not eliminated, the number of paper towel dispensers. Personally, I hope they don't get rid of paper towels, as I find hand dryers ineffective most of the time. But, I cannot, even in the wildest of cost-cutting ideas, imagine that Disney would try to eliminate toilet paper.

I hate those very unsanitary blowers that just fill the air with germs from the floor or wherever. If they don't have paper towels I leave as quickly as possible and air dry my hands - but probably still getting a 'fix' of germs from others using them!! :(

Eliminate toilet paper? A joke, right?? :crazy2:

I also have an obsession with Disney restrooms and I know many kids are frightened of hand dryers so I don't believe they would eliminate paper towels completely. There is no way they would get rid of toilet paper, people would not stand for that (or sit for it as the case may be).

I’m not sure how convenient that would be. Small kids might be frightened. And people get sick a lot at Disney. I once had food poisoning from the shrimp scampi in Disney and I know I’m not alone. But maybe they could test it out.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK!! There’s no way it was Scampi that made you sick. It’s the food of gods!!!

The ladies room can be crowded with a long line at times. I don't want to stand in line again to use a hand dryer. Would we need a FP to use the hand dryer? :upsidedow

Please keep the paper towels.

Yuck....hand dryers are so unsanitary but I see why Disney would want to do that from a money saving perspective :scared:
