:confused3 Hi have been reading through the threads and came across one about restrictions on the menu at Wolf Gang puck express. Didn't realise there were restrictions at any of the dining locations. Am now a bit confused, don't want to go to restuarants then find out we can't order what we want. We have picked our restuarants from looking at the menus. Does anyone know where we can find out what restrictions are in place in each of the dining locations?

Thanks don't want anything to spoil our disney expereince good to be prepared for what's to come. :bounce:

I just ate at Wolfgang Puck's Express last Friday.... absolutely no restrictions there. I don't know of any TS or CS restrictions on the entree you can choose. Everywhere I went you chose an appetizer, entree, dessert (as appropriate) from the appetizer, entree, dessert list on the menu.

What is restricted is that not ALL restaurants are on the DDP. Also, not all snack carts participate (especially at EPCOT). Also, some restaurants participate for CS credits but don't allow snack credits (Boulangerie et Patisserrie comes to mind).

Also, if items on a menu are listed in categories as "speciality drinks" or "side-orders" and not in the "appetizer" "entree" or "dessert" column, then they are NOT included and must be paid for OOP, just like all alcoholic drinks.

:) Not sure about menu restrictions at WP Express, but I have heard WP Cafe had some exclusions. I don't know if that still holds true or not.
Can anyone who has eaten at either WP Express or Cafe recently let us know?

:goodvibes Thanks Brygida, we must have posted at the same time!
So no restrictions at Express, that's good to hear :thumbsup2 ! How about WP Cafe, any word on that one?

We ate at WP Express on August 4th and the CM who took our order told us as well as the folks ahead of us and behind us (who were on the DDP also) that 2 items were excluded from the DDP. One item that was excluded was the meat loaf entree, and I believe the other was some sort of ravioli.
They were also the only 2 items that were over $10 on the menu board.

I hope those or the only restrictions. We were hoping to eat at Wp Express on our first day there. I read where if you get a cersar salad you either pay OOP or use your dessert credit. Is this true?

My son had a Chicken Caesar Salad along with a drink and brownie on the DDP, so it didn't hold true for us. Hope that helps.

I ate there on August 12th, had the chicken ravioli, an iced tea with free refills, and a creme brulee, delicious!, and used the DDP to pay for it.

That's great to hear...everything we had was yummy as well! The mango iced tea was awesome indeed.

I can only share what we were told two weeks ago. Thankfully my DH 'lived through' his disappointment at not being able to have meat loaf and thoroughly enjoyed his BBQ chicken.

Several others on different threads have been told of the same exclusions that we were, either onsite or by phone when they called WPE directly.
My suggestion to anyone at this point would be to check in advance if one's heart is set on certain menu options, as our recent experiences reflect.

It seems the only thing that is consistent about the DDP is its inconsistency.

There are definitely restrictions at wolfgang puck express. No entrees over $10 are included (meatloaf, ravioloi, and 1 special when we visited). No bottled drinks even water are allowed with the meal only fountain drinks or child sized milk for kids. A separate snack credit can be used for a bottled drink. Only desserts allowed were creme brulee (it's from a packaged mix) or big cookies no key lime pie, carrot cake, etc. It was by far the most restricted place we ate. I was very unhappy about the no bottled water because I don't drink sugar or caffeine and they had nothing I could drink (no water tap on the fountain drink area) and finally got someone in the back to get me warm tap water (in a tiny cup). The other DDP CS option at DTD (Earl of Sandwich) is also restrictive.

Maybe they have changed? Because I definately had the ravioli on August 18th for dinner, and saw NO restrictions on anything they had.

Maybe you got a new CM? They have been pretty vocal and consistent about this policy. It's not written on any of the signage they just tell you about the restrictions. Who knows though things change; it is better to be prepared that it might be an issue though rather than being upset or disappointed when you get there.

I ordered the rotisserie chicken with the caesar salad as my side dish. It was delicious. In June, you were allowed a fountain drink and a cookie or brownie as your beverage and dessert options. They did exclude the meatloaf and the ravioli on the DDP.

We just ate lunch at WP Express today with our CS Credits. The only thing not included was the Ravioli. We were able to order the other pastas, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas! :)
