My 4 year old DS LOVES fireworks! Which restaurants are child friendly (he is very well behaved but he is a kid after all!) and have a good view of the fireworks?? The only one I know of is California Grill which is a bit pricey. We're not getting the meal plan so we can eat on or off property.

You can also see the fireworks from the Poly at O'hana. They also pipe the music in & dim the lights. We did this in Jan & it was fun.

We had a 7:30 ADR at the Rose and Crown in Epcot. We ate on the patio and had a fantastic view for the fireworks. The kids menu is pretty good as well.

any idea what time to make dinner reservations at Ohana's in order to see the fireworks? We are going in Oct. TIA :cool1:

I am also interested in knowing what time to make reservations in order to get a good view of the fireworks.

Thanks!

At the poly dinner to see the fireworks well, is it the special show or just a dinner? What is a good time to make reserv to also see fireworks?

Anyone know about the "CAT WALK" that is at CG? Someone told me that during the Fireworks, if you are there eating, the CG waiters allow you to go out on a cat walk to see the Magic Kingdom Fireworks and that the music from the fireworks and show are played LIVE in the CG!!

DS & DGF will be there in March with 7:15pm ressies and hope to see everything IF they eat reallllllllly slllloooowwww!!! hahaha!!!

Please advise on that "cat walk"!!! :sunny:

The observation deck at California Grill is great for viewing the fireworks, but you can also see them from most of the tables in the restaurant. If you don't mind waiting, you can request a window side table that will give you a panoramic view of the MK area. It is quite nice and romantic to watch them there with a glass of wine.

Do they pipe in the music and dim the lights inside the CG?

They pipe in the music but do NOT dim the lights. We were there a couple of weeks ago and were a little disappointed that they didn't. AND even though we were willing to wait, we were told they could not seat us by a window, even though I had made reservations months in advance, as we were celebrating a 56th wedding anniversary with my aunt and uncle. The view of the fireworks was not the greatest from the table, but at 85 and 83, my relatives didn't want to get up to view them either. I was a little disappointed but I didn't let it spoil my night.

The have dimmed the lights on most of my visits but not all of them. I have no clue as to why it varies. I have never had problem getting a window seat as long as I was willing to wait. Although, I would assume that there is some sort of cut off time and/or maximum number of guests that they will put on a waiting list.

I was informed that Narcoossee's is a great place to view the fireworks and I am noticing that one is not showing up. Is that not a good pick, please let me know as I made reservations there for our first night there!

Thanks!

If we eat at "Ohana, will they allow us to walk down to the beach to watch the fireworks?

I love 'Ohana, but last time I was there, the window was all steamed up, and we couldn't really see the fireworks... (even though we were right on the window!)

In terms of a time for O'Hanas...

First it depends on what time they are showing the fireworks that night (or IF they are showing them that night). In October, the times will be affected by the Halloween parties.

BUT, making the assumption that the fireworks in MK are at 9pm, we have had no problems with a 7:30 ADR. This way we were mostly done with dinner and saw the fireworks during dessert.

May be alittle of topic, but are the fireworks the Disney wishes at MK? I love CG and will make a ressie there for 7:30pm in August. Is that time good for a window seat?
Thanks

Watch the time of Widhes. We wanted to wathch them from Ohana and were told that they were at 11:00 pm. So much for that idea.
