Hi! I would consider myself a foodie and love trying new foods. He is a picky eater that I am slowly getting him out of his shell. We are going to be doing the dining plan and looking for one credit restaurants for dinner. Right now Sci-Fi Drive In and Garden Grill are on my list - the food is pretty good but I love the ambience/theme. I loved loved California Grill and Jiko, but hoping to avoid two credit restaurants. Would also be interested in visiting restaurants in resorts so we can check out different resorts. Any ideas?

Consider Boma. Its next to Jiko. It is a buffet so both of you can be as adventurous as you wish. Lots of choices there.
Tutto Italia in Italy has good food and lots of options.
The Wave at the Contemporary.
Ohana at Polynesian

Agree with PP, Boma is great since anyone can find something they like and even try foods with no risk since it's a buffet. Boma is only breakfast and dinner, we've done breakfast and while it's not my all time favorite, it's a good option, heard dinner is good there too.

Ohana is great, can try some Polynesian food but it's not extremely adventurous per se and I think has something for all palettes.

Kona at the Poly with a stop at Trader Sams for drinks.

Les Chefs in France?
La Hacienda in Mexico?

Check out the restaurant menus for Boardwalk and BC/YC.

Lots of places in Disney Springs.

Take a look at the menus at The Wave in CR and Ale & Compass at YC. Those are our favorite resort 1 credit TS.

I am in the same boat as you artemis908...my advice would be to just make sure you look at the online menu and have your husband look it over in advance of going. That way he can find at least 1 entrée he would be happy to eat:)

Yachtsman. Steakhouses are great for picky eaters because they have so many basic entrees/sides, but for more adventurous eaters this one has interesting toppings, specials, etc. And the food is always fantastic.

We're a family of foodies, but also just love good food done well, so sticking to non-signatures that would likely appeal to a picky eater too these are a few of our favorites:

Sanaa
Via Napoli
Homecoming
Tokyo Dining
Yak n Yeti

What is he picky about and what kind of new foods, cuisines, ideas do the two of you like? :)

I just want to add that most Disney restaurants are excellent with requests. Nothing is guaranteed of course, but I've heard if you ask for something off the kid's menu they can make it for you in adult portion. So if you wanna go to let's say Turf Club (which I highly recommend) and your dining companion doesn't like anything he could most likely ask for the kid's hamburger in an adult size portion. Is there anything in particular he likes?
